Title: Wandering
Description: anyone

Angela Jiminez - June 24, 2008 02:11 AM (GMT)
Angela was strolling along the hallways pretty much bored out of her mind. She was used to roaming alone throughout the school, she didn't have any friends really or even aquaintaces. She sighed somewhat loudly in th empty corridor and found her self heading in the dungeons. She liked it down there, it was dark and damp and secluded just the way she liked it. She sighed and took out her pack of cigarettes and eyed the box for a brief moment. She sighed again aloud before putting them back in her robes.

'Trying to quit remember?' She thought to herself.

She plopped down on the floor not caring if she got her robes dirty. She began making tiny markings in the dust on the floor. She heard a noise in the distance and quickly stood up. She heard it again.

'Footsteps?' she thought.

"Is anyone there?" Angela asked outloud.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 01:01 AM (GMT)
Stretching her legs around the castle was often difficult for April, because sometimes she felt like avoiding people at all costs. Today was one of those days, and since it was rainy outside, and cold, she had decided to meander throughout the dungeons. Normally, there were not many people lurking about, and one could be alone for several hours wherever they wanted. April wandered down the stone passageways, letting her fingers glide over the cool stones.

"Is anyone there?"

She was about to turn around a corner when she heard this and tripped, sprawling through the air and landing with thud on the ground. Muttering, she picked herself up off the ground, brushing herself off, and continued walking. When she turned the corner, there was a girl sitting on the ground, staring at her.

"Yes, only me. You make me trip," she said, laughing at herself stupidly, scracting the back of her head awkwardly.

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 01:18 AM (GMT)
Angela raised an eyebrow at the girl. She had heard a noise about a few second ago and now realized she had tripped. Angela shook her head slightly and looked back up to the girl. "Heh...." she mumbled lighty. "Um..I'm angela" She said. 'Why did I introduce myself?' She asked ready to mentally slap herself.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 01:36 AM (GMT)
The girl who introcuded herself as Angela seemed to instantly regret doing so, considering she had umbled a lot. April had been barely able to make out what she had said. For some reason, Angela looked uncortable. She was drawing pictures in the dust on the stones, and April stared at her for a good minute before coughing and coming back to her senses.

"Well hello Angela. I'm April," she introduced, trying to be as cheery as her personality allowed. "Whatcha doing i nthe dungeons all alone?"

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 01:43 AM (GMT)
Angela noticed that she saw her doodles on the ground and quickly moved her foot over it. "Heh..heh..Nice to um, meet you April." She sighed.

"Oh well, I'm normally alone..." she began. "...and well I like it here in the dungeons. If I'm going to be alone, it's the best place." she shrugged. "Not to mention I don't normally see the annoying first years down here, and I'm not in the mood for them." she said sighing.

"Well what are you doing tripping down here." she smiled slightly.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
Nodding, April agreed privately that the dungeons probably were the best place to be alone. It was true that it was sometimes hard to escape all the younger students who clogged up the common room since they had no place else to go, since the grounds were often taken up by the older students. April smirked, knowing she tended to take some of the good relaxation spots of the younger students.

"Well, maybe that's why I've never met you. You shouldn't want to be alone, lurking in dungeons," she said, laughing, and knowing she looked like a hypocrite.

"As for me, I was just taking a break from the madness. It's difficult to stay in one's thoughts when being hassled by small children and annoying pests."

April slid down the stone wall and sat next to Angela, trying to peek at the drawings in the dust that she had created, and was now covering with the sole of her shoe. She tried to be nonchalnt about it, but knew that Angela would see through her attempts. Attempting to copy Angela, she used her finger to draw a crappy heart inthe dust.

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 02:11 AM (GMT)
Angela eyed her slightly as she began to also draw on the floor. She shook her head somewhat and turned her head back to look at her. "Yea , I wasn't in the mood to hex a few of the younger students." She admitted. Angela shrugged and little and repositioned the way she was sitting so she would be somewhat facing her, hoping April didn't really notice.

'It would be nice to have an aquaintance.' She thought to herself.

"How old are you?" She asked as the question popped into her head. "I'm 14." she said looking up at April.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 02:27 AM (GMT)
April laughed as Angela turned to face her more clearly. She was beginning to notice that the girl was a little younger than she thought, although had a very mature look about her. April couldn't guess what year the girl was in, although she wasn't as old as April, this she gathered.

"Weird, I wasn't in the mood to hex anyone today either. That's not usually the case though, so beware. I'll give anyone a run for thier galleon with dueling," she bragged, and then shutup. Angela hadn't been implying that anyways, so she moved on.

"How old are you? I'm 14."

Well, that answered April's previous question. Fourteen seemed about right anyways, even though the girl could probably pass for being a bit older. April shrugged, suddenly wishing that she could be a little kid again, althogh she did like the age she was at. She just knew that the years were flying by and soon she would be in the real world.

"Me? I'm about to be 17, actually. I'm a 6th year," she clarified. "Are you in 4th year?"

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 02:41 AM (GMT)
"Wow you're old." she joked smirking a little. 'Why am I joking around with her? It's not like we're friends.' she thought and sighed aloud.

Angela listened to her question. "Yep I am a 4th year." she said shrugging.

Angela thought a minute about what April said about her dueling skills. "I can totally kick your but in a duel." she said smiling.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 02:37 PM (GMT)
April snorted and chuckled out loud, raising her eyebrows at Angela. She knew this girl's type, and wasn't surprised that she wished to challenege her. But April had no doubts in her mind that she could beat Angela, and wasn't about to go proving it just to soothe her ego. She didn't waste precious time on her own house-mates, that wasn't fair.

"Really now? Well, there's a dueling club starting up, so maybe you should join then. If you're so good," April said, winking, and in a matter-of-fact tone.

"As for beating me, I'd love to show you up, but I don't hurt my own class-mates. Now, if you were say, a Gryffindor, then perhaps..." April laughed coldly and spun her wand in her fingers.

"So, you're a Pureblood then?"

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 11:00 PM (GMT)
"Heh good thing I'm not in gryffindor huh?" She said smirking alittle. "Maybe I will join." she added

Angela kknew April would probably wipe the floor with her. She was on ok duelist mostly against people her own age, but a dueling club sounded very interesting to her. She looked up at her when she heard the question.

"Ah yes I'm a pure blood." She said. "You?" She asked. She actually didn't care anymore if someone was a pure blood or not, though her uncle would probably be royally p****d if she was associating with anyone but purebloods.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 11:09 PM (GMT)
"You should definately think about joining, we need target practice," Apirl joked, then corrected herself. "I mean members."

She laughed at her own joke, and then straightened up. It'd be a lot better for her if she actually did recruiting of members, and didn't make fun of potential new ones. Anyways, she put a happy smile on her face as Angela told her that she was indeed a pureblood, which made sense since she was in Slytherin.

"Yes, me too. My whole family has been in Slytherin, except my sister, who is sort of the runt of the famiyl and was in Gryffindor. Sort of pathetic, if you ask me. Any siblings at all for you?"

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
"Ha very funny." She said sarcastically bout the target practice. "Well I must say I will check out this dueling club." she said more seriously. Merlin only knows how rusty she's gotten.

"Ah yes I have one of those in my family too. My cousin was in hufflepuff. I mean of all houses, hufflepuff." She said rolling her eyes at the thought of her cousin.

"Oh no, no siblings over here." She added in response to her question. "Well I live with my uncle and aunt so my cousins are kinda like siblings." she said shrugging.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 11:22 PM (GMT)
April nodded, scoffing at Hufflepuff. Well, at least her sister hadn't been in Hufflepuff. At least she had enough of a personality to get her into an actual house. She laughed at thatto herseflq uietly, although she had friends in Hufflepuff anyways.

"Hmm, well I guess that's true," April said of Angela's cousisn being like her siblings. She could totally imagine that happened if you lived with them. She barely ever saw her family outside of her immediate ones.

"What happened to your parents?" she asked, then immediately regretted it. It was possible they could have died, and then April could feel bad making Angela sad. Oh well, too late now.

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 11:31 PM (GMT)
Angela had a feeling she wouldn't be surprised when she said what happened to her parents. "They died." She said shrugging. " It was a 'Car Crash'" She said emphasizing the words car crash. She never believed that her parents could have died like that but that's what she somewhat remembered.

"I barely remember them anyway so.." she trailed off.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 11:35 PM (GMT)
April shrugged her shoulders, sort of wincing, and said nothing for a moment. Drawing in the dust, she sort of felt bad for bringing it up. She knew that parental deaths were always touchy subjects with anyone, especially if they weren't the person to bring it up.

"I'm sorry for your loss though," April said, hoping that made up for her rudeness in asking. "Car crash, huh? Simple, Muggle way to go."

April decided that a change in subject was certainly needed at this point.

"So, what do you do for fun around here, other than lurk in the dungeons and draw dust images?"

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 11:40 PM (GMT)
Angela shrugged the thoughts of her parents out of her head. And forced a smal smile. "Hmm well fun. There's always someone around here to mess with. " She began.

"Besides hexing a bunch of gryffindors I like playing pranks sometimes." She shruggged. "It passes the time. What about you?"

Angela looked up from the ground that she didn't realize she was staring at. She finally couldn't resist and took out her pack of cigarettes from her cloak. She looked up at April offering if she wanted.

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 11:47 PM (GMT)
"Sounds like a good time to me," April said, knowing that she loved to cause a bit of trouble every once and awhile.

"As for me, I'm a fan of pranks as well. Other than that, I like to read, play Quidditch... uhm... talk with friends and such. You know the deal. Oh, flirt with boys... yeah... like that." April laughed at herself.

April looked down at the Muggle disease-causing contraptions, also known as cigarettes, and shook he rhead. She'd have to pass on that way. She figured, if she wanted to die, she'd go annoy Flame Harshing or something.

"None for me thanks. Trying to quit?" she asked the girl, seeing the torn expression on her face as she pulled out the pack.

Angela Jiminez - June 25, 2008 11:56 PM (GMT)
"Ah flirting nice." She said with a slight chuckle. Angela put her pack away when April declined. She kept the unlit cigarette in her mouth. She was feeling better without even inhaling and hoped it stayed that way.

"Yea. I've tried so many times." She admitted. "These things are severly addicting."

April Teagan - June 25, 2008 11:59 PM (GMT)
"I'm curious how you ever started on the Muggle habit, to be honest," April said, although she was prying and she knew it. April had a slight problem with being overly curious, often nosy, but she could never stop herself, even when she tried.

"But I'm sure you're putting the effort to quit," April said, noticing that Angela hadn't lit the cigarette, and was pretending that she was smoking it, apparently. April cringed at the thought.

Angela Jiminez - June 26, 2008 12:08 AM (GMT)
Angela thought for a moment. "Eh...hung out with the wrong crowds when I was younger. I guess my aunt and uncle didn't want to make me feel like thy were my parents or something by diciplining me." She said. Which was halfly true. Durring her childhood she would leave her house and hangout with the other pureblood's in the neighborhood, not the best of people they were. And her uncle wouldn't dicipline her on things such as that.

"Yea I thought I finally had quit last year, but then recently the craving came back." She shrugged. She noticed that April liked asking questions, she did't mind too much. She knew she would answer as vaguely as possible anyway so it didn't really matter.

April Teagan - June 26, 2008 12:12 AM (GMT)
April nodded her head, trying to wrap her head around the first answer. Her parents had never disciplined her, but it hadn't been needed. She had been a good kid, at least, to thier faces, and they never found out about anything bad that she did anyways. Her and Tyler had gotten into all loads of trouble.

"Something tells me you're not much of a talker," April said truthfully, and then laughed a little. "You need to learn to lighten up, huh?"

"Any boys you got your eye on?" she asked, knowing that there were lots of cute Slytherin boys around, especially that April had started noticing now.

Angela Jiminez - June 26, 2008 12:20 AM (GMT)
"Eh...I'm more of a talker when I know someone better." She said with a slight smirk.

Angela raised and eyebrow when April had mentioned boys. "Eh...well I haven't really notied anyone." Angela admitted. Angela never really did the boyfriend thing anymore. "What about you?"

April Teagan - June 26, 2008 12:29 AM (GMT)
April noticed that Angela did seem a bit shy, and was now opening up a little more. She wasn't drawing in the dust anymore, which was probably a plus for the conversation. April contemplated as Angela spoke, not being surprised at all by her answer. April could have predicted that one a mile off.

"Look around, I'm sure you'll totally find someone for you," April said.

"As for me, I guess so. I'm sort of... hopping around. I went around with AJ Vitcav for a bit last year... he's a 7th year Ravenclaw. I'm starting to get into it with Sid Carrick now. 5th year Slytherin."

Angela Jiminez - June 26, 2008 12:38 AM (GMT)
Angela nodded. "I guess you're right there are alot of guys around here." She agreed,

Angela raised an eyebrow. "Hm I've seen him around." She said referring to Sid. "Ah 5th year..so that would make him a year younger than you." She stated. She never cared about the age of people when it came to things like this, seemed like neither did April. "Cool." She added. "Think anything might happen between you two?"

April Teagan - June 26, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
April shrugged her shoulders to Angela's comment, because she wasn't always sure when it came to guys. She tended to flirt a lot, which made her attractive and likeable to guys. She had never really been in love before, and actually had only felt strong feelings for only one person. AJ had been a fling deal, but she didn't want that with Sid, so she'd have to see.

"Well, I do like Sid, and he's a cool kid. So, I'm sort of hoping that something happens. But, if it doesn't, you pick yourself up and keep going. Plenty of guys to go around, even if this one doesn't work out," April said, grinning. She tended to have emotional attachment problems.

"What about friends? Who are you close with around here?" April asked, having a feeling that Angela probably kept to herself.

Angela Jiminez - June 26, 2008 01:00 AM (GMT)
Angela nodded. "Well then I hope it works out nicely with that Sid guy." She said smiling somewhat.

"Well I used to have a couple friends.." She began. "But now I just sort of keep to myself." She finished. She finally took the unlit cigarette out of her mouth and put it back into the pack she had. She was glad she didn't need to light it. She remembered the reason that she was trying to quit, her old friends didn't like it and wanted her to be healthier.

"Id like to consider you a new...um really new friend." She mumbled really low.

April Teagan - June 26, 2008 01:06 AM (GMT)
Feeling that Angela was definately shy, April smiled helpfully. Some people liked to keep to themselves because they couldn't get along in crowds, and that was alright. April preferred small groups or just one friend to be around also. She felt that Angela was trying really hard to fit in, but sometimes didn't know how to handle it. April placed her hand on Angela's shoulder, showing her that she cared.

"Well, we Slytherins look out for each other," she stated firmly. "And I'd consider us friends too."

April smiled, also glad that Angela had put away the Muggle cigaarttes. It was definately a bad habit, and one that needed to be gotten away from. She clapped her on the shoulder proudly, and then took her hand away slowly.

"So, play quidditch any? Or, at least, do you fly at all?"

Angela Jiminez - June 26, 2008 02:37 AM (GMT)
Angela liked the idea of having a friend. She was tired of always being by herself wandering around doing nothing at all throughout the days. So she smiled a little when April said she considered her a friend.

She noticed that April was happy about her putting the cigarette away. She k new it really was a dirty habbit to have.

"Actually I absolutely love to fly, never played quidditch though." She answered. "Is any fun, I mean I've watched it and it looks fun." She shrugged.

April Teagan - June 26, 2008 01:46 PM (GMT)
April smiled, glad that they were on a topic where she could tal ksome, and not just ask some questions. Hoping that Angela would open up a bit, April looked at her, gaping for a ful lsecond, and then smirked, joking around.

"How could you not play quidditch!" she asked, even though it was true. Most Purebloods played, and were very competant at the sport. It was one place where Muggleborns truly had the diadvantage.

"I'm the Slytherin Seeker. I love quidditch, it's just so much fun. It's a rush... alll the adrenaline. And I mean, who doesn't like to play!"

"What broom do you fly? You do have your own, right?"

Angela Jiminez - June 26, 2008 04:28 PM (GMT)
Angela smiled a little. It seemed that they reached a topic that April liked. "Well I've never played, I mean I've watched it and it looks loads of fun." She shrugged. "I would like to learn." She added.

Angela thought for a minute. "Well the last broom I had was a nimbus 2001, but I left that at my uncle's house." She thought. "Never got a chance to get it back so I have no idea if he even still has it." She said shrugging. "I was meaning to get a new one." She finally said.

"What about you?" she asked April. "What's being seeker like?" She asked interested to know how she felt while playing.

April Teagan - June 26, 2008 09:42 PM (GMT)
April nodded, really happy that Angela was excited at the prospect of learning how to play quidditch. Remembering the first time she flew, April grinned in memory, catching her first snitch... it was all so blurred around the edges to her now. She focused back on Angela in time to hear her ask what being a Seeker is like.

"Hmm, Nimbus 2001? Not bad at all, really, great broom. I fly a Firebolt," she said proudly. April always boasted about her top of the line broom.

"And Seeking is amazing. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's really difficult. It's the hardest position to play, in my opinion, and I've played Chaser a few times in my day. But it's a really big rush, especially when you're inches from the winged ball and your hand is grasping for it.... It's the greatest feeling in your heart when you catch it, anyways," April said, feeling the glory in her mind.

"You should try it, sometime. I could teach you, if you wanted," April offered.

Angela Jiminez - June 26, 2008 10:04 PM (GMT)
Angela's eyes were widening as she was explaining how it felt to be a seeker. "Oh yes that would be great." She answered alittle too quickly. "Ahem..I mean. Sure." She said with a slight cough pretending to clear her throat.

"Yea that would be awesome, I always wanted to learn how." She added trying to cover for her eagerness before.

April Teagan - June 26, 2008 10:37 PM (GMT)
Angela's eagerness was totally cool, but she tried to cover it up by saying a whole bunch of things that just proved that she really was excited to get to learn. April smiled knowingly, happy to be able to teach someone else. April loved to teach people to fly or play quidditch, although sometimes she lost her patience with it because it came so naturally to her.

"Great. We'll have to get together sometime soon to play quidditch. Maybe I can help you meet some new friends," April said, although that sounded a little mean. "I mean, if you wanted to meet some of my older friends, that is."

Angela Jiminez - June 26, 2008 11:49 PM (GMT)
"Actually that sounds good." Actually said sighing alittle. "I really should get to know more people." She added. 'I am always alone. Maybe a couple friends would be a good ide.' she thought to herself.

It had been awhile since Angela put her shield down and actually got to know people again and actually have normal friendships once more. Angela smiled at April. "Can't wait." She said somewhat more cheerily.

April Teagan - June 27, 2008 01:00 AM (GMT)
April smiled, seeing that Angela had lightened up quite a bit, and was trying to make strides at least to be cheery. April knew how hard it could be to try and fit in at first, so she gave Angela some leniancy. She was curious, after all, to know more about Angela, since she was a little bit mysterious through all this.

"Great," April said happily.

"So, tell me something else about yourself. How come you don't get out much?" she asked, truly wondering why Angela didn't have many friends. There were lots of students at Hogwarts, and it wasn't as if Angela was mean or too nasty, even for a Slytherin.

Angela Jiminez - June 27, 2008 01:17 AM (GMT)
Angela thought for a moment. "Well awhile ago I used to think I didn't need anybody." she began rolling her eyes somewhat at herself.

"When I came here it was like I could be good on my own and whatnot." She shrugged. "And now, well my uncle's a little picky now who I make friends with." She said thinking bout her uncle.

'It's just easier..' She thouht to herself.

"Sometimes it's easier not getting attached to people." she mumbled.

April Teagan - June 27, 2008 01:24 AM (GMT)
April contemplated this, having a feeling that her uncle was probably a Pureblood extremist, like her mother. She could see that, especially if Angela was aSlytheri, whic hshe was. A lot of parents nowadays, especially of those who have students in Slytherin house, tended to be for the purification of the race. April felt it was something that couldn't be stopped, eventually.

"Well, I sort of agree with you. You shouldn't get too attached. But it's a good idea to have people you can trust and be yourself around, and tell secrets to. It's part of being a girl," Apri lsaid, shurgging.

"And what do you mean, your uncle is picky? How so?" April asked, wanting to see if her suspicions were true.

Angela Jiminez - June 27, 2008 01:30 AM (GMT)
Angela shook her head agreeing with April about having someone to talk to and smiled a small bit. She did sometimes wish she had those kind of friends that she could share secrets with.

"Oh well..I had a few friends who weren't purebloods lasst year.." she began. "And he really didn't like it. He's a pure blood nazi." she made her self smile somewhat after her comment.

"Yea but, I mean I used to be like that, but then I met some really nice half blood people and muggleborns." She said shrugging. "I guess my way of thinking was changing and he didn't like it."

April Teagan - June 27, 2008 01:35 AM (GMT)
Thinking deeply, April had to imagine being put i nsucha situation. She had never really faced nay sort of repercutions from having friends of half blood or muggle parentage, but either way, she was almost positive it wouldn't matter too much.

"Well, I see where you're coming from. Before Hogwarts, all of my friends and of course, family, were Purebloods. I didn't know any half-bloods really at all, and I didn't meet any muggleborns until I came to school here."

"My mom is a total pureblood nazi, but I mean, she'd never kill anyone or anything because of it. My dad is a little bit softer. But I don't tell my parents what blood status my friends are anyways, even though most of them are Pureblood either way."
