Title: A Chance Meeting
Description: Open
Demetrius Eros - June 24, 2008 06:07 PM (GMT)
Demetrius sighed as he stretched his legs, taking a small sip of his tea as he did so. Most of the students were at Hogsmead this weekend and the Gryffindor Head of House did not relish staying in the castle, grading exams all day. He was in need of a few Potions for his Medicinal Magic class anyway. A quick trip to London would do no harm.
The cafe was most empty, spare a few witches gossiping in the corner. Demetrius enjoyed coffee shops. There was always a calm aroma about them. Fresh brewed coffee, warm tea, and sugar was strong in the air as he examined the streets through the clean window of the place. He took of his spectacles and rubbed his eyes. His wand lay next to his cup of tea, it's ebony wood contrasting strong against the black marble of the table it lay upon.
Need to stop by Gringotts soon, he mused. His thoughts were interrupted by the musical ringing of a bell near the door. Someone was entering the cafe.

Gwen entered the cafe, dressed in the usual light colors, happy to have a chance to be out of the medi-witch uniform and have some time away from the castle. She had found this place when she had first moved here, and had decided to come back for another cup of tea. As she looked around, she saw a man who looked vaguely familiar, she guessed she worked at Hogwarts as well and smiled at him.
Once she had ordered and recived her tea she made her way over to where he was sitting, she might as well introduce herself. "You work at Hogwarts don't you?" she asked him once she got closer. "Would you mind If I sat here?" She asked.

Demetrius nodded as he swallowed his mouthful of hot tea. "Why, yes I do. I am assuming you do as well than." He said, glancing at her quickly. The only thing he could see was a blurred outline of a witch. Or wizard. He couldn't be sure by sight. But the soprano voice had to belong to a woman. He quickly moved his glasses from the top of his head to perch on his nose. "You are a medi-witch, aren't you?" He asked her.
"I am Demetrius Eros, Gryffindor Head of House and Medicinal Magic professor at your service, madam." He said, inclining his head to her. As a pureblood, he was taught manners before he had even picked up a wand. And as a past Gryffindor, he felt the need to put them to practice as often as he could.
He gestured towards the empy seat across from him. "Take a seat." He said, raising his wand and tapping it against his china cup. "Sorry, tea was cooling off. Dreadful when it's cold, in my opinion." He said, matter-of-factly.

"Gwen Ravin, and yes I'm a medi witch." she said, shaking his hand then sitting down. She found his manners a nice change from other people she had known, but she wasn't going to name anyone with that subject. "I bet that's an intersting class to teach, how do you like it?" She asked him, most of the teachers who she had met liked their job, which was great, she remembered being positive the teachers around when she was at Hogwarts not liking their job, or at least kids very much.
