*Leon made his way down to the lake. It was a beautiful day. A slight breeze cooled down the entire school. Although Leon's work enthusiasm was abysmal his lack of interest in it never extended to charms. He loved the class and performing the spells as well. One of his favorites was the first charm Leon learned how to do. Avis, a spell used to conjure a bird or a whole flock. Leon was always getting progressively better but is still not able to make anything bigger than a crow. This left a few of his favorite birds left out like falcons, owls, and hawks.*
*That is what Leon decided to try to do today. He wanted to be able to conjure a bird bigger, even if just by an inch or anything, than he has done before. Leon found a cool spot beneath a tree near the shore of the lake. He pulled out his was and spoke the spell*
"Avis." *A crow and a few pidgeons flew out of his wand. These are just practice Leon told himself, knowing that wasn't completely true. He always hoped to get something on the first try, although it is rare that something will work out that way. Leon spoke the spell again. A few more birds the same size as the crow flew out and away*
