"Do you think, everything, everyone, is going mental,
It seems to me that it's spiraling outta control and it's inevitable,
Now don't you think,
This time is yours, this time is mine,
Its temperamental,
It seems to me, we're on all fours,
Crawling on our knees,
Someone help us please
Oh Jesus Christ almighty,
Do I feel alright? No not slightly,
I wanna get a flat I know I can't afford it,
It's just the bureaucrats who won't give me a mortgage,
Well it's very funny cos I got your f***ing money,
And I'm never gonna get it just because of my bad credit
Oh well I guess I mustn't grumble,
I suppose that's just the way the cookie crumbles." Lily-Ann sang the words, spinning. She was trying to get the words out of her head with the song. The words from her parents stung so much. 'If you don't join you will no longer be our daughter.' The yellow dress swished around her as she spun, faster, faster.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine,
Everything's just wonderful,
I'm having the time of my life.
Why can't I sleep at night,
Don't say it's gonna be alright,
I wanna be able to eat spaghetti bolognaise,
and not feel bad about it for days and days and days.
In the magazines they talk about weight loss,
If I buy those jeans I can look like Kate Moss,
Oh no it's not the life I chose,
But I guess that's the way that things go
Oh Jesus Christ almighty,
Do I feel alright? No not slightly,
I wanna get a flat I know I can't afford it,
It's just the bureaucrats who won't give me a mortgage,
Well it's very funny cos I got your f***ing money,
And I'm never gonna get it just because of my bad credit
Oh well I guess I mustn't grumble,
I suppose that's just the way the cookie crumbles," Lily-Ann swallowed, letting herself fall, herself tumbling. She lay flat on her back, looking like she was trying to make a snow angel without snow. 'Lily-Ann you need responibilty. You need to growup. If you do not join, you will no longer be our daughter.'
Lily-Ann heard someone, and she sat up, looking at them.
"Hello." She said. Now if you knew Lily-Ann well enough, then you should know that if she doesn't say "hiya" then something is wrong. The bright moon made Lily-Ann\s hair shine, her brown eyes were also bright, but inside all was going dark.
She walked by the lake, deep in thought, humming a song she shouldn't have known- boyzone, I love the way you love me. It just seemed to understand her current feelings for one Professor, though she'd never admit it was him she hummed the sng thinking about- noone could find out about that.
She was just walking thinking when she heard a voice and she looked up to see a girl who looked frustrated. She walked over, frowning.
"Are you alright?" she asked, shocked as she realised the girl was Slytherin.
"It depends. Do you mean alright in the physical sense? 'Cause I'm perfect there. Other than being small. Or do you mean emotionally? 'Cause the answer would be no, I'm not alright. Not at all." Lily-Ann got up, and although she was shorter than the girl, she wasn't in to much of a mood to be hyper, to act like she didn't have problems/
Flame sighed, pushing her hair back from her face and shaking her head. This girl seemed to think she was the only person in the world who had problems, by the way she was acting. Grey eyes glinted oddly, and she licked lips painted black.
"What's wrong, kid? Something seems to be bothering you, and if IU know anything it's upset."
Lily-Ann sighed, "It's my parents. They're total idiots. And they're saying they're gonna disown me if I don't do what they want." Lily-Ann would've gone into detail but she didn't even know this girl. "And that's stupid! And already I'm being treated well by the teachers and such because I'm not only a Slytherin but I'm pure blood as well. I don't like being treated differently, at all." Lily-Ann shrugged, and sat back on the ground.
