Title: A quiet Saturday
Gwen Ravin - June 28, 2008 10:37 PM (GMT)
Gwen was once again walking around Diagon Alley ,She had just been down here a few days ago, but getting out of work and her house was too much to pass up.She found the fresh air and sunlight a nice change from being inside most of the time.Yes, she had had a good week, she had spent time with her friends, found a guy who seemed nice and she hoped would see again soon and had been looking for an actual house, but inside was not where she wanted to be on a Saturday. Her hair was let down and she had traded robes or her usual medi-witch uniform for a light pink dress that came down to her knees.

Evangeline was wandering around Diagon Alley, looking for some new robes. She loved to shop, it was an addiction, and her closet was already stuffed to the max with all types of clothes.
Today she was wearing a gold mini-dress and sparkly gold high heels. Some times Evangeline dressed like a witch, other times she wore muggle clothes, usually they were always bright and flashy. She could already see older witches glaring at her.
She was walking along one of the streets, happy to be outside and glad to have been accepted for her new job, when she walked right into someone.
"Oh my gosh," She practically yelled, "I'm sooo sorry!"

"Oh don't worry about it, I run into people all the time." It was a little embarrassing, but it was the truth, that was how she tended to make a lot of friends, maybe it would work with other people too. "Are you okay?" she asked the woman who had ran into her. "I'm Gwen by the way." She said with a smile as she introduced herself.

Evangeline laughed at her comment. "I'm fine," she replied, "Well, except for feeling like an idiot for walking into you."
She heard the woman introduce herself as Gwen. "I'm Evangeline," she said, "But as my name is so dreadfully long, most people call me Evie."
Gwen Ravin - June 28, 2008 11:31 PM (GMT)
"It's nice to meet you. I'm just Gwen, you can't really shorten it." she said, she often found herself glad that her name was short, it made things much easier. "I haven't seen you around before Where do you work?" she asked her, she was pretty sure she hadn't seen her at the school, but then again she spent most of her time up in the hospital wing.
Evangeline Winters - June 28, 2008 11:36 PM (GMT)
"I just got a job at Hogwarts!" she exclaimed, "As a librairian. It's good because I like books, it just sucks that I don't know anyone yet..."
She smiled and looked at Gwen, tearing her eyes from a lime-green dress robes set she'd been eyeing. "Where do you work?"
Gwen Ravin - June 28, 2008 11:56 PM (GMT)
As soon as she said Hogwarts, Gwen grinned , excited to find another person who worked there. "I do too! I'm a medi-witch there, so I probably wouldn't see you, but that's cool." She remembered when she started working at the school with out knowing anyone, it had been a little awkward at first. "I'll have to come by when I get a break."
Evangeline Winters - June 29, 2008 12:08 AM (GMT)
"Oh, that would be great!" said Evangeline, glad to know someone in the school. "A Medi-Witch? That sounds interesting. I went for healer training and worked at St. Mungo's for a while but I quit a year and a half ago."
She looked down. "I bet it must be hectic working in the hospital wing with all of those students. St. mungo's was, it was always crowded, at first I loved it but..."
She realized she was rambling and closed her mouth, then opened it again and said, "So, what are you doing in Diagon Alley today?"
Maybe she would find a shopping partner for the day.
Gwen Ravin - June 29, 2008 12:22 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, It can, but there is another medi-wizard who works there so there isn't a whole lot to do most of the time which is also nice because then I can also do other things, like today. I'm not really doing anything, just walking around. I've already been here this week so I got my shoping done, I just wanted to get out for a bit. What about you?" she asked.
Evangeline Winters - June 29, 2008 12:37 AM (GMT)
"Oh me? I'm just addicted to shopping and can't own enough clothes. Or shoes. Plus I was getting bored at the Castle, there wasn't anything to do. What are you shopping for? I'm looking for some new dresses, prefferably something silver or purple."
She smiled in excitement. She had been searching for a silver dress forever...
Gwen Ravin - June 29, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
(ha, purple and silver are my high school colors)
"I was getting some things that I misplaced when I moved, it's amazing how things can dissapear like that." She said, but agreed with Evangeline, some new clothes would be nice to have. "Would you mind if I shopped with you?" she asked. "You can never have too many clothes."
Evangeline Winters - June 29, 2008 12:47 AM (GMT)
"Oh, of course I wouldn't mind. Its always better to have a shopping buddy when you're buying clothes you know. That way they can give you advice and stuff."
"I was heading to Gladrags. Do you want to go there or do you have somewhere else in mind?"
Gwen Ravin - June 29, 2008 01:06 AM (GMT)
"That sounds good to me, I haven't been around here a lot lately so I don't know all the places that are here yet."She had only been here three times or so since she had moved back here and hadn't seen everything yet. "So did you go to Hogwarts?" she asked, trying to find something else for them to talk about.
Evangeline Winters - June 29, 2008 01:13 AM (GMT)
"Alright, Gladrags it is then!" replied Evie excidelty. "I went to Hogwarts," she said, answeing Gwen's question. "I was in Ravenclaw. How about you?"
Gwen Ravin - June 29, 2008 01:17 AM (GMT)
"That's cool. I had a lot of friends in Ravenclaw. I was in Hufflepuff." She replied. "I graduated, five years ago. What about you?" she asked as they walked down the street and found their way to Gladrags and went inside, a few of the more brightly colored robes catching her eye.
Evangeline Winters - June 29, 2008 01:24 AM (GMT)
"I graduated five years ago too, when I was 17."
They entered Gladrags and immediatley a bright orange dress with matching robes caught her eyes. "Ooh!" she squealed, running over to them. "I'm trying these on!"
