Evangeline was walking along the grounds, lost in thought. She needed some friends, quick, she thought. She liked her work at the castle but the weekend was fast approaching and she wanted to get out and go dancing...just not alone.

Today she was wearing a short dress of shocking hot pink with an over-robe to match. On her feet were silver flats. Her hair was loose and wavy.

She looked around and spotted someone with curly blonde hair. It was a girl she had known back at school, she realized. She hadn't known her well, but they had talked occasionally.

"Hey," she said, walking up to her, "Don't I know you from Hogwarts?"

Gen was wandering around the Grounds watching the students. She was humming a song to herself, trying to keep herself occupied. She was dreading the weekend. She knew a lot of people that had plans, but not for Gen.

Gen was wearing a lime green tube top, white capris, a pair of lime green flip flops, and a pair of big white sunglasses on her head. She was dressed comfortably lazy today, there was no one to impress.

She was humming when all of teh sudden she heard someone speak to her. She turned around quicklyand looked at the personi n fron of her. She heard her question and pondered for a moment. She then saw it in the womans face. "Oh! Yes we did! How are you Evangeline?! We havent spoken in ages?" Gen said excitedly. She gave Evangeline a big hug.

Evangeline hugged Gen back, then said, "It's so long to say 'Evangeline', just call me Evie."

"Do you work here now?" she asked excitedly, "I just became the new librairian! I'm fine, just been traveling a bit, I haven't seen you since 7th year. How have you been?"

Gen was very excited to see her old friend once again. "Ok Evie. I like that name for you!" Gen said smiling. "She heard Evie tell ehr she became the new librarian. "Oh thats so exciting! good for you! Im the potions professor here and Im also the head of the auror department at the Ministry." Gen said trying not to brag.

"I see you've been keeping busy," replied Evangeline, smiling. "Being in charge of that library is enough for me though, although I might apply to be an auror...I have to see about that." She smiled and continued.

"I'm glad to be back at Hogwarts, but I'm afraid it's not as fun as when I was a student here, sneaking out and partying and stuff. Plus I haven't met any cute guys yet," she added, winking.

"So, Gen what do you do for fun around here?"

Gen smiled. "Oh you should definitly be an auror! We only have 2 I believe, counting me. It would be a good time!" Gen said walking around the grounds with Evie. "Yeah Hogwarts is definitly different from the adult perspective." Gen said. She heard her talk about guys. "Oh theres tons of men here that are adorable. I have a few after me. But Im only going for one." Gen said blusihing. "Well for fun, I like to go to hogsmeade and drink at the three broomsticks, or relax at home, or find someone to talk to on the grounds." Gen said giggling. "So hows yoru love life been?"

"I don't know about the whole Auror-thing yet," replied Evangeline. "The library keeps me pretty busy and I need time for shopping and stuff."

She noticed Gen blush at the mention of guys. "Oh," she said, "Who is it? You seem into whoever it is." she teased, not unkindly.

She heard her mention the things she did for fun and was a bit dissapointed. "Isn't there anywhere to go and dance? I haven't been around much lately, anything new crop up?"

She heard Gen ask her about her love life and froze, the smile on her face faltering.

"Oh, no," she said, shaking her head. "There's no guy. I was engaged but...I'm actually trying to meet someone now," she added, smiling again.

Gen blushed when she asked who she was into. "Oh his name is Jeraud Cynster. Hes a medi-wizard at the school. We went on a date and it went well. Im waiting to hear from him again. I tink hes into me too." Gen said feeling confident.

Gen frowned when she heard Evie ask about dancing. "No nothing new has cropped up. But my househ as a pool, and the basement is pretty much a party room. We could party there sometime, I could invite people, or guys." Gen said giggling.

She heard Evie say she was engaged. "Oh you were engaged? May I ask who it was? And dont worry, Ill help you find someone." Gen said helpfully. She felt bad for Evie in a way that made her want to help her, not out of pity, but out of being a friend.

Evangeline recognized the name Gen spoke. "Oh Jeruad?"She asked. "He works here too? Wow. He was in Ravenclaw, I know him from school. I guess a lot of us ended up here huh?"

"Partying sounds like fun," replied Evangeline. "Although I know like one person I can invite, I need to make some friends."

Gen asked her about her fiance. Andrew had been dead for almost two years, but it still hurt to talk about him sometimes.

"Oh, I wasengaged to Andrew Jacoby," she said. "We were both healers in St. Mungo's. He got attacked one night and I tried to save him but..." Her voice trailed off as she remembered.

"Yeah a lot of people ended up here. Remeber Lycs Amina? I dated him back in school. Hes the transfiguratyion teacher now." Gen said smiling. "Dont worry, Id be able to have a good party. Youd be able to meet tons of people." Gen said excitedly. Gen listened as Evie talked about her husband. As she got to the end, Gen felt bacd. "Im so sorry to bring it up." Gen said outting a hand on her shoulder. "We dont have to talk about it." Gen changed the subject quickly. "So when do you want to have a party?"

"Lycs too? The Slytherin? I heard he was a Death Eater," she said, her brow furrowing.

She heard Gen's response to the part about her finace. "It'a alright, I'm getting to that point where I can talk about it and it's better just to tell people outright, I feel..."

"Party?" she said, her eyes lighting up with excitement. "Whenever you want! I think it would be a great idea, we can invite a whole bunch of people..." she trailed off, her head full of ideas. This was just what she needed to break her solitary year.

"I have a house in Wales," she suggested, "If you need some place to throw the party and all that."

Gen smiled. She felt better for not making Eviev mad by talking about her late husband. "Yeah I heard Lycs was a death deater too." Gen said knowing the truth: that he was. She then heard her say somethign about having her party at her house. Gen smiled.' Thatd be great! I have a house too if you dont want to take care of the clean up, its totally up to you! But I can definitly invite some people." Gen said excitedly. She had so many thoughts going through her head.

"Well maybe since you know more people we should use your house," suggested Evangeline. Hers wasn't really in the condition for a party right now anyway, it needed some new redecorating.

"Do you have any ideas?" she asked her.

"Yeah that sounds great! I love throwing parties at my house! Magic is so helpful when its time to clean up." Gen said giggling.

"So when would you like to have this party?" Gen asked.

"Whenever you want is fine," replied Evangeline. "After all, it is your house." she smiled, "But soon would be good." she added/

"Do you know who you're going to invite?" she asked.

Gen smiled. "Well dont worry about inviting people. I got that covered. We should set a date. Lets do it on Saturday, hows that sound?" Gen said.

So Im going to post a thread or something to let everyone know theyre invited. And this saturday is a good day for me, you?

"Alright," replied Evangeline. "Saturday sounds alright."

She smiled at Gen, "This is going to be fun."
