Looks

Chai is completely Irish, and looks it. Her hair is long, thin and black and her complexion is light as can be. Her face, despite her eating habits, is round and kind of chubby with two wide, green eyes. She is, physically, very weak and could be seen as having an eating disorder. She –in no way- sees herself as being overweight or being ugly, she is just so overly devoted to her mind and nature that the doesn’t have the time to eat. She manages to keep herself to around 100 lbs, and is 5’5”. Which has her standing not too tall, but not too short either.



Personality

It's not hard to automatically put Chai in the "work-aholic" stereotype. Though, she is far from a perfectionist when it comes to anything that isn’t part of her schooling. In fact she’s quite messy, always having a cloud of books and papers around her where ever she plants herself. And on top of this she doesn’t really care to pick up after herself, unless of course it’s a public place like the library.

Although Chai seems like a well rounded, intelligent girl, she has an atrocious temper. Whether it’s from her lack of food or social life no one wants to find out. Because of this temper most people think she hates the world, which really isn’t true, she just doesn't have time for the world. But that's not to say she doesn't know how to be polite. She doesn't put a lot of faith in to people, and it's -ironically- hard to make her dislike someone. She sees no point in holding a grudge when she has so many other things that are far more important than any person.

She also has an obsession with nature, more specifically animals. If she can’t be found studying somewhere then she is more than likely hiding outside. She is very protective of any and every animal and has been known to hex –or at least try to- annoying students who think it’s funny to torment them. She sleeps with her cat, Rara, every night and will drive herself mad trying to find her if she isn’t around.



Historia

Chai was born in Ireland to a muggle mother and wizard father. The small family lived with her grandparents, from her father's side, on a tiny farm just outside of Limerick. Chai didn't see anyone from her mother's side very often; the family was too busy making ends meet and trying to keep muggles out of their secrets. Chai's father wasn't the greatest wizard, most of his days as a student he goofed off, and he didn't place a great amount of importance on school. Chai followed suit, not having a care in the world about her studies. Her main focus was being with nature. She was always found outside instead of tending to her responsibilities. Around the age of 6 animals became her main phocus. You could say she became a bit obsessed. She begged her parents to keep everything, even if it had tags and an owner. There were often other children that passed their fence and one had a habit of throwing rocks at her and her animals. Of course this boy took his antics too far and ended up injuring one of the lambs. It tore Chai apart and she grew to hate the feeling of helplessness she had that day.

It was an odd, and pleasing, surprise when Chai began to express an interest in her studies. But she became almost as obsessed with them as she was with animals. Between the two she had almost no time to eat or sleep, which she easily sacrificed. It soon became obvious that her newly found interest should have never come around. She grew very thin, and extremely moody. Her once shy, but sweety, personality flew out the door and a ravenous wok-aholic replaced it.
