Mona had always loved Quidditch. From her earliest days, from her lonely years in the muggle world, her parents had provided her with all that she had wanted. That is, all except friends and a stationary family. Her mother, Angeline Rostia, had told her once when they had gathered at Christmas time, how to ride a broom and since she was an auror, she knew a lot about those stuff. Mona's sister, Amelia, was the seeker for Ravenclaw, too, so she was a help. Her muggle dad, however, knows absolutely nothing. He comes back one night, then he goes.
Mona walked out into the quidditch pitch, her Nimbus 2001 hovering her side and her ginger cat strutting along side, sneering at the Nimbus.
"Oh, come on, Ginger!" Mona laughed.
She bent down and lifted her up onto her Nimbus, patting her as she miaowed in fright. Ginger whimpered.
"It's not dangerous, Ginger." she said and broke off. "Well... we'll skip the danger bit--"
She heard someone approach them and turned around.
"um..hi."Mona greeted.
"Hi," Melanie said, "You going to fly?"
Ever since her lesson with April, Melanie was alawys yearning to fly. Only that afternoon had she managed to break free from the Common Room and managed to come upto the Quidditch Pitch.
"Thats a nice cat," Melanie said referring to the ginger one next to the broom. Melanie proudly carried her new Nimbus Two Thousand by her side. A present from her father for learning how to fly. She mounted it and hovered by the other girl. "Coming up?" She asked.
"Yep, of course." she said. "I'll just leave ginger down here."
She placed Ginger well away from the Quidditch pitch, hoping she wouldn't go anywhere. Then, got on her Nimbus 2001 and followed Melanie.
"Already done!" she said, as she hovered beside her. "So, d'you play for the Slytherin team?
