Carly was wandering the hallways. It was pretty late and she had nothing better to do than waste her time in the dark, alone. She knew it was boring, but probably better than lying in her bed trying to get to sleep. She wasn't able to, she had too much on her mind. After walking for a bit, she got tired and decided that finding a classroom to sit in would be best. She stopped at the first one she saw and slowly opened the door.

She was a little freaked out once she walked in. She never spent extra time in classrooms, especially when they were dark. She wasn't sure what she was going to find. She shut the door behind her and took out her wand, wanting to brighten the room up a bit. Before she could even raise her wand, she heard a noise in the corner of the classroom. Carly jumped and quickly pointed her wand. "Who's there?"

John had never been one who was big on walking around at night, but he had put off his homework and seventeen year-old boys could be extremely loud even when it was time that most was in bed. He had found an empty corner and sat with his book, trying to finish, but failing when someone else entered the room, he closed the book, ready to run for it when someone lit their wand and asked who was there.

"Just me." he said standing up and setting the book down. " I wont hurt you, promise."He said, hoping she would lower her wand.

Carly noticed it was a boy with a book in his hands. He couldn't be that dangerous if he was sitting in an empty classroom by himself. She lowered her wand, but still glared. She was angry. She hated when people scared her. "Don't think you could hurt me if you even wanted to." She couldn't help but be rude. It was her natural attitude.

She walked a little closer to him and sat ontop of a desk, staring at him strangely.

"Well that's good, I don't really have the intention to. Sorry if I startled you." He had grown used to comments like that, and had learned how to brush them off. He could tell she was angry and wasn't sure why but he didn't care all that much. "So... I'm John." He said offering his hand for her to shake, not sure if she would or not, she didn't seem to be in the most friendly mood.

Carly looked at him and his hand for a moment. She had no reason to not be nice to him. She sighed quietly to herself and took his hand. His hand was large compared to hers. "I'm Carly." She let a small smile take over her face. That's when she really looked at him.

He was goodlooking. She knew he wasn't in Slytherin, because he'd atleast look familiar. She wondered why Slytherin boys couldn't look like this. This thought made her laugh out loud. Now she made herself look like an idiot. She cleared her throat. "Sorry.." She realized she was still holding his hand, so she let go and then looked around.

He smiled when she shook his hand, smiling when he saw her smile, but blushed a little bit, not sure what exactly to do when she laughed and kept a hold of his hand for a moment longer than usual. "It's nice to meet you. I don't think I've seen you before, What house are you in?" He asked her. "I'm in Hufflepuff and a seventh year."

Hufflepuff she though to herself. She always ended up with the Hufflepuffs. She never cared to associate with them. Too bad they were all so cute. She smirked. "Slytherin, 6th year." She loved being a Slytherin. She felt superior to others. She knows she shouldn't though. She just can't help it, that's the way she was brought up.

"Well i guess you're lucky you ran into me tonight then, or else you probably would've never met me." She smirked.

"Yes it is, I really didn't think anyone else would be coming here tonight." He said. He was pretty sure he was one of those people who thought their house was the best, he had never really gotten that rivalry, but he had given up telling others that it was pointless and just went with the flow. "So what are you doing lurking in dark empty classrooms past curfew?

Carly gave him a look. "Curfew? Do i look 10 to you?" She always got so annoyed with the curfew. What did it matter to them if you were walking around late at night? Carly shook her head. "I don't believe in curfew, and if i get caught..oh well." She shrugged and smirked. She did love trouble.

"Anyway, i'm just bored i guess. I can't sleep, a lot on my mind." She sighed and looked around, realizing it was too dark. So she walked over to a candle. "Once i got tired of walking.." She pointed her wand at the candle and lit it. It got a little brighter. She turned back to him. "i decided to come in here." She smiled and walked back over, once again sitting on top of the desk.

He hadn't thought too much about the lighting untill she had lit the candle, now that there was someone else here there it really didn't make sense to sit in the dark. When she said she had a lot on her mind, he nodded, he knew what that was like. "Do you want to talk about anything?" he offered. He had learned from experiance that talking about somethings could help get them off of your mind for a while, but he wouldn't be surprised if she said no.

Carly thought about it. She wanted to talk about it, she knew it would help. She usually didn't care who she told these things to either, but this was different. She was trying to forget it and she didn't want to get into it. Plus, she didn't want to spoil this time with him. She didn't know him, but he was cute and she wanted to just talk to him. She looked at him and smiled.

"I'm alright. You're too cute to have my problems dumped on you." She smirked and raised an eyebrow at him. She loved to flirt.

"Well thanks, I guess." he said with a smile, finding it hard not to flirt back. He had Casey after all, whom he'd do just about anything for and just thinking about someone else mad him feel a little guilty. He looked around for a second, trying to think of something else to say, but his mind was just drawing a blank.

She looked at him, noticing something wasn't right. Maybe she said the wrong thing. She hoped not, she didn't want to scare him off. He wasn't saying anything, which made her feel awkward. She cleared her throat. "Should i have not said that?" She laughed a bit.
