Pre - Hogwarts
Mei was born to her wizard father and muggle mother in China. Her mother was aware of her father’s wizarding heritage but both her parents chose to live in the muggle world and hold down muggle jobs. Her childhood was relatively normal, magic was used to a minimum and she was the only one of the three sisters to show signs of magical ability.

Mei was sort of the runt of the children, being the youngest sister and the only one to show signs of magic. Her father always treated her magical gift as a blessing but her mother not so much. Her childhood was strict and full of rules which would perhaps explain why she was so eager to go to Hogwarts by the age of 11. Her family stayed in china whilst she attended Hogwarts and Mei spent the summer with English relatives.

Hogwarts
Her Hogwarts years were some of the best of her life, with no parents to control her she was a little wild at first. So it was a surprise she was put into the Ravenclaw house. However she did learn fast and was eager to prove her worth, since she had a relatively magic free childhood.

During her first year of Hogwarts she befriended Logan Corso and 'Tommy'. They began known as the Ravenclaw trouble makers. Always playing pranks on everyone and the very bets of friends. The boys treated her with a little more care than each other, due to her being a girl, but that never stopped Mei from taking part. They got in plenty of trouble but all three past there OWLs with flying colours.

During her NEWT years were when things got complicated, Mei realised she had fallen for her best friend Tommy. And despite this the two attempted to make a go of it, though they didn't tell Logan since they didn't want to ruin the friendship. The relationship never really worked out and tended to be more of a Friends with Benefits arrangement but neither minded. During her seventh year an accident happened and Tommy died. It was the end of the year and neither her nor Logan really got over his death but they didn't really get chance to comfort each other since Mei was head hunted for a Creatures Job in Europe.

Post - Hogwarts
Mei spent nearly 10 years working abroad in magical creatures reserves, she was talented beyond belief and learnt to handle many creatures most would never see. She has a few scars from mishaps but she was skilled in her work. Mei became known as a magical creature trainer and fell in love with of her fellow co workers at only 19. Mei and Jasper happily dated for a year, and all previous grief was pushed form her mind by her busy life style and she coped with Tommy's death. On her 20th birthday Jasper asked Mei to marry him and she agreed without missing a heart beat. By 21 they were married and living together.

They lived happily for about 2 years, but around Mei's 24th birthday they realised that they had perhaps married to young and realised that their life goals were very different. With a sad farewell the two parted ways and divorced. With Mei moving to Romania to work with dragons for a year until she was 25.

Despite not going home to china for nearly 17 years she began to become homesick for England, and on an impulse she applied for the CoMC job going at Hogwarts shortly after her 25th birthday.

She got the job easily and was soon teaching at the school, despite disagreements with the headmaster at the time (Harshing) and annoyance at the 'Family' group which has arisen, she was happy working at Hogwarts and felt no need to go back to her previous job. when she first arrived at the school she was shocked to realise Logan was also teaching there, the two hit it off quickly and an old friendship reformed, they didn't speak much of the 10 years since they last met but it was clear Logan hadn't coped with Tommy's death quite like Mei had. After a few mishaps Mei began to release caring for Logan was a full time job, not that she minded too much.

However by the start of the next school year Logan had left to pursue other career options and Mei was Ravenclaw Head of house. The rest is left to be seen..,

Family Summary

Blood Family
- Maylin Feng - Mother - Alive -
Maylin Feng married Sheng at a young age and birthed him three children. She is a strict women full of traditions and looks down on Mei for her life style choices. She is disappointed with her younger daughter and is often very stern towards Mei. She is pleased with her two older children

- Sheng Feng - Father - Alive -
Sheng is the only wizard in the family aside from Mei. He doesn’t use magic often and follows the same traditions as his wife. He did however treat Mei's magic as a gift but was upset she never visited him after she finished Hogwarts. He sees her occasionally but never for long. He does miss his younger daughter despite the lifestyle she chose.

- Jia Feng- Wu- Sister - Married -
Jia is the older sister and has always been a carbon copy of her mother. She shares the same views and options of Mei and would often, as a child, force Mei to behave. There is no love lost between the sisters but they are civil towards each other for the sake of the family.

- Tao Feng- Sung- Sister - Married
Tao is the middle sister, she was bullied by Jia much like Mei was but she reacted to the behaviour in a submissive way taking on the traditions of her family. Tao is a little ditsy despite her strict rules but she is a sweet heart at heart. Mei and her are fairly close despite the choices in life style.

Family by Marriage
- Jasper Flynn - Ex-Husband - Alive - Jasper was a Durmstrang student who meet Mei through his job as a fellow creature trainer. The pair hit it off immediately and were soon dating, they rushed into a young marriage and found as they aged they wanted different things from life. And so the two sadly split and Jasper is hardly mentioned to anyway. Mei's family do not know she was previous married.

- Syaoran Wu - Brother in Law - Married to Jia - Syaoran is a muggle, he married Mei's muggle sister Jia and is a business man above all. He follows much the same mindset as his wife and has never left china.

- Dewei Sung- Brother in Law - Married to Tao - Dewei is a sweetie at heart and the only member of the Feng family that doesn’t look down on Mei. he loves her sister Tao but disagrees with her strict rules. The two argue like cat and mouse but love each other still.

- Sakura Wu- Niece - Daughter of Syaoran and Jia - Sakura is nearly five and shows no signs of magic, she is likely to be a muggle. She is a sweet child who adores her Aunty Mei. Although she is told never to follow in Mei's footsteps.
