Pretty much just needing some friends/enemies/whatever so that we don't have to bother doing it through RPing.
Any age is good, and tend to get on well with most people, although Edith doesn't like many Hufflepuffs (so that may be the right place to be if you're an enemy!)

Character Information
Full Name: Edith Birch
Blood Type: Muggleborn
Year: 5
Age: 16 (birthday on March 9th)
Prefered Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw
Appearance
Edith is a 16 year old girl, who is 5'10" and around 175 pounds (making her tall for her age, but also quite broad, and technically overweight, although not grossly so). She has a curvy, hourglass figure, but could definitely use a bit more exercise, as she is not very physically fit, and would be healthier if she lost 10 or 15 pounds. She has medium brown, mid length wavy hair (which, to her horror, appears ginger in bright sunlight) and hazel-green eyes. She is white-caucasian and is neither pale nor tanned, although in summer she tends to catch the sun easily, and often gets sunburnt. She has been perscribed glasses, but as it is for short sight, and she can cope perfectly well without them most of the time, she only wears them when she really has to. Like most teenagers, Edith has a tempermental complexion, and whilst on a good day she may have clear skin, she often suffers from spots and blackheads.
Personality
Edith is most proud of her intelligence. Whilst being far from a genius, she has a high IQ, and is also quick-witted and sharp. Unfortuanatly, this makes her arrogant, and she will always regard her own opinion as the most important. She is often insensitive to people's feelings - while she is tactful and can often sense other's moods, she will often override them due to her intense belief in telling the truth. She is perfectly capable of empathising, but she will often not unless she can gain something beneficial from her actions. She does not care much for social groups and organisations, although personally is a strong willed feminist, and if ignited has a hot temper and sharp tongue. This means she has few close friends, preferring to have large groups of aquaintances. She enjoys engaging in intellectual conversations, especially when she on the winning side of a debate or argument, and of all the houses, she is least likely to be a Hufflepuff - she is loyal to very few, and even then her loyalty may waver if she senses a better offer. However, her sharp wit and lack of sensitivity do compliment her style of humour, and she is quite well known amongst others (although not popular) for being able to make people laugh with her blunt yet humorous observations.
Edith gets on with most of her fellow students, and despite being a muggleborn, her contempt of most Hufflepuffs for what she considers to be "brainless loyalty" has gained her respect from some Slytherins, and her outspoken and opinionated nature means she can interact well with the daring and brave Gryffindors. She does not, however, get on well with the Slytherins who still, despite the defeat of Voldemort years ago, treat her with contempt due to her lack of pureblood status. When she feels that she is dropping behind others in class, her arrogance pushes her to study meticulously for hours, although she will only do this when challenged - despite being desperatly competitive, she is also quite lazy when not in company, and will only make an effort with her physical appearance when it will be noticed, such as at balls or formal events. The rest of the time, she is happy to be wearing jeans and t-shirts, or occasionally a skirt in the summertime.
Edith's favourite subject is arithmancy, and she aspires to become a professor of it some day, although she would happily take up a job in the Ministry of Magic if offered it, and has dreams of travelling the world to discover interesting and unknown objects when she leaves hogwarts - although only, of course, if it would benefit her name and wealth (as otherwise she would not consider it to be worth the effort). When not studying, she enjoys being outside, listening to music, reading, writing short stories (usually about herself), socialising (although always keeping her distance, not liking to get too attached to anyone), and researching wandlore, a subject she is intrigued by, but is unlikely to study further, as she doesn't consider it beneficial enough to her.
History:
Edith grew up in an upper-middle class suburban town in North Surrey, with her parents, Natalie and Martin, and two younger sisters, Hazel and Susie. Before receiving her Hogwarts letter, she had planned to attend a top muggle girls' school in the area, and was extremely doubtful when she did get the invitation to Hogwarts - so much so, that she needed several more letters of reassurance from the headteacher to help sooth her worries. Due to the constant pressure of two very academically-inclined parents, and two younger siblings fighting for their attention, Edith was coached from a young age to appreciate fine literature, intellectual discussion and general intelligence in her peers. When she finally accepted her place at Hogwarts, her parents researched into their family, but found no trace of other wizarding talents, rendering Edith a definite muggleborn. Her sisters were jealous but also wary of her different talents, and so often did not keep in contact with her, despite her contract streams of letters in the first months when she was at Hogwarts, delivered by her small barn owl, Mordred.
Place of residence:
Whilst at Hogwarts in termtime, Edith has never stayed there for holidays, she always prefers to return home to visit her family, at their home in Kingston, Surrey. She has never invited or been visited by any wizarding people at her home, and never wishes to; preferring to keep her personal and academic life seperate.
Thanks! :)
Name: Angel Sergeotti
House: Ravenclaw
Year: 7
Age: 17
Position wanted: Friend?
Reason for position/how we met: Angel and Edith met in the Ravenclaw common room, and at first their personalities clashed because they're so alike (Angel is convinced she's always right aswell) but they eventually became friends due to the fact that they both enjoy intelligent conversations and debates. They do get into conflict sometimes because of their stubborn opinionated personalities.
okay, i'm putting you down as a good friend angel, if that's okay :) (because I stupidly just changed it because I found a better template)
If you've any problems, just say and you can be an aquaintance.
Name: Angela
House: Slytherin
Year: 4th
Age: 14
Position wanted: Annoyance/Dislike
Reason for position/how we met: Angela met Edith while on the rare occasion she was in the library. They got to talking and Angela didn't like the arrogance she heard in her voice. It mad Angela feel dumb next to her at some point in their conversation. It also didn't help that she was muggleborn. Ever since then she pretty much can't stand her and tries her best to steer clear of Edith.
Name: Rebecca Emery
House: Hufflepuff
Year: Fifth
Age: Fifteen
Position wanted: Dislike
Reason for position/how we met: Rebecca met Edith in the library, years past, were the older Ravenclaw started to fight over a book with her which they both wanted. Of course in the end, being as nice as she is, Rebecca was ready to just give up the book, but that was when Edith went ahead and insulted her for being a Hufflepuff. The girl's dislike escalated from their to the point where they avoid confrontation of any kind.
Just thought I'd post back. =]
