Lily-Ann Pace - July 4, 2008 12:48 AM (GMT)
Lily-Ann sat in her dark jeans and snug dark green t-shirt. She bit her lip, wishing she wouldn't cry, but she did anyway. It wasn't like the heavy dramatic tears that some people gave, no these where quiet tears that slid down her cheeks with no drama. Her black hair had been put into two loose braids, her slytherin ribbons tied to the ends, and she closed her eyes for a moment wishing the whole world would just go away. She was sitting in a tiny old classroom no one used anymore, it was her little hiding spot just for moments like these, with a small candle provided by herself, two pillows also provided by herself, and a throw blanket, still hers. Even though she was alone she was still embarrassed to be crying, that was just how she was. Every piece of her was upset, mostly at her parents but now at her brother too.
It's not fair. How could he do this to me!? How could he side with them !?
More tears fell from her eyes, down her cheeks and then crawling down her neck. She played with her black shoelaces, untying them, and tying them back again, over and over. She had her knees pulled up to her chest, her head leaned up on her knees and her back pressed against the cold stone wall.
They want me to join their little group. And whats worse if they've got William now so I'll have to join just to protect him, but I don't want to join. I don't want to be involved in the stuff they're doing. It isn't right for them to do this to me, and I shouldn't be pushed into stuff I don't want.
Lily-Ann sighed and stretched out her legs. They weren't particularly long, but they were in shape because Lily-Ann was always running.
I'm always running but what am I really running from? Lily-Ann thought, and with this thought she looked up, seeing someone seeing her. Lily-Ann wiped the tears from her face, astonished anyone had found her hiding spot. She waited for them to say something.

Edith stared at the girl sitting before her. She had, before stumbling somewhat intrusively on what seemed to be this girl's hiding place, looking for somewhere to practise spells with no distractions - having already reduced a couple of second year girls to tears in the Ravenclaw common room. She now stood impassively in the doorway, looking down at the girl, who was staring back at her, not saying anything.
"Er..." Edith started, but couldn't think of what to say, the girl's face seemed to shine, as if she had just been crying.
"Is this a bad time?" she asked, looking at the girl, who she took to be a Slytherin due to her green ribboned hair, and who was still silent.
