Title: Watchman's ease (open)

Jenson Williams - July 7, 2008 09:19 PM (GMT)
Jenson sat in his usual place, up near the top of a large tree, that was located on a hill. He had a view of a large portion of the ground that was directly in front of him, the view behind him was blocked off by branches and leaves. He shifted the book from one hand to the other, and took a quick look around. There wasn't a whole lot going on at the moment - nothing Jenson knew about anyways. He was usually the last to know about any events that were going on - but always the first to know if something happened in the grounds - he was after all, looking out at it most days.

He placed the book down on the branch beside him and looked up at the sky. Jenson had heard a group of people talking about him earlier - and apparently he'd been given a nickname. He wasn't very surprised, he knew that eventually he'd get targeted for that sort of thing. Sitting alone from everyone does that sometimes. What did surprise Jenson was the fact that the nickname wasn't exactly an insult towards him. "The Watchman" was the name he'd apparently been given. Not very many people even knew his real name, mostly only people in his school house, he wasn't to big on meeting people. "Watchman." Jenson whispered. He liked the sound of it. He smiled and began his decent to the ground below - hesitating only a second to grab his book off the branch next to him. He gave a bright smile and began to walk off aimlessly through the grounds, without a care in the world.

Emily Fall - July 7, 2008 10:45 PM (GMT)
Emily was rolling down the hill. She had walked up and then decided to roll down. She knew it was childish. But it was so much fun. "Weeee!" Emily screamed as she rolled down. Boom. Emily banged into someone. "Opps sorry" Emily said to him. He was wearing the hufflepuff uniform. Emily had seen him in the hufflepuff common room before. "Are you ok?" Emily asked.

Jenson went to steady himself as he felt something smash into the back of his legs, but it didn't help even a slight amount as he tumbled to the ground. Jenson let out a 'oopmh!" as his back connected with the ground. He glanced around, looking for whatever had run in to him, and noticed the person just a few feet away. Jenson nodded as she asked him if he was ok. "Yeah, I'm fine," He said as he slowly got to his feet. "I have to say, that's the first time someones knocked me over by rolling down a hill." He grinned. What else was he supposed to say? He couldn't start a conversation to save his life - and he wasn't very interested in starting one either, he wasn't the most social person.

He walked over to the girl, the thing he was able to do was help her up. He extended his hand down in an offer. He might not be a conversationalist, but he was quite good at helping people with even the smallest problems.

"Thanks" Emily said as he helped her up. "Hi I'm Emily. Nice to meet you" Emil;y said with a smile on her face. It had been a while since she had talked to anyone. She was kinda a loner. Emily looked at him. He looked about her age. But she hadn'r seen him in any of her classes yet. So he was probably a 4th year or something.

"It's uh, nice to meet you too." Jenson managed to say quietly. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, obviously looking uncomfortable in the situation. It wasn't that he didn't want to meet anyone, he just found it difficult to talk to most people for reasons that he didn't yet know. He could act perfectly normal around people he had known for a year, maybe even a couple months, but strangers still caused him social trouble. He glanced around quickly, unsure of what to do or say - h wished he was back up in the tree staring out over the grounds with his book, it made things so much simpler. Jenson looked back towards Emily, remembering that he had forgotten to tell her his name. "I'm Jenson, by the way." He smiled and averted his gaze to the ground again.

Keera Webster - August 1, 2008 02:29 PM (GMT)
Keera walked on, concentrating on her book. She didn't relise anything that was going on around her and walked on blindly. She obviously didn't see a large tree that blocked her way, because she walked right into it.
"Ouch!" she groaned, hugging her book tightly with one hand and rubbing her head with the other.
She noticed other people at the other side of the tree, walked towards them smiled.
"Hullo." she said, dreamily, obviously still influenced by the bump.
