Thoughts and history: Edith and Finneas met in the Ravenclaw common room when he was in third year. He helped her with some transfiguration homework which had bothered her so much that she had shouted at a couple of first years - reducing them to tears. Edith has put up with his major moodswings over the years, learning early on to keep her distance when he is feeling low or angry - meaning that when he is feeling sociable, they are quite good friends, enjoying to get into trouble and get away with it as often as possible. Due to his being older and taller than her, and ruggedly attractive, Edith developed a crush on Finneas quite early on, but it has remained unrequited and she does not take it particularly seriously - she is by no means in love.
