Davina decided to catch up on some well overdo studying. She figured to look up some books on different kinds of hexes and spells. She knew for DADA that she would need to make sure she knew a few spells b heart. Of course unfortunately for Davina she wasn' the best at studing. She was easily distracted. She opened a book and read the first sentece.

"Expelliarmus." She read aloud. It was the first defensive spell on the page. She looked ack up and out the window.. Such a nice day outside. Sun was shining brightly. She wanted to go outside and read instead. She stood up and knocked over the pile of books she had next to her. There was no easily a good 20 books on the floor.

"Great." She mumbled alittle aggityated b her own clumsiness.

Tessa had spent the day searching for a quiet place to be alone and maybe read a book or squeeze some studying in. What better place to do that than the library? Tessa weaved in and out of the shelves looking for an empty chair in a corner. She was strolling by one of the tables, when a stack of books began to tumble. She jumped out of range of the falling tower just in time. She looked up at the girl standing there and scowled. "Your books just tried to kill me." she said. She started to walk away but a sudden sense of guilt began to build in her subconscious. She sighed and turned around. "Let me help you." Tessa crouched on the ground and scooped up a few books, stacking them one on top of the other.

Davina winced slightly as the girl spoke and walked away. [I]Many odd people.[/l] she thought to herself shaking her head. She notice the girl come back to help her with the books.

"Oh, thank you." She said with a wide smile."I'm so sorry. I am terribly clumsy,all the time." She said with a slight shrug.

"I'm Davina Ashford by the way." She extended her hand towards the girl.

Tessa glanced at Davina's outstretched hand. She didn't see many of those. She was usually such an anti social person. Hesitantly, Tessa shook it,

"I'm Tessa. Tessa Wayland." she said. "And don't worry about being clumsy. We're all pretty clumsy from time to time." she forced a smile wanting to bite her tongue for being so friendly. Tessa stacked the last book on the table. "Looks like you're good to go." she nodded.

Davia shook her hand over enthusiastically. She was always someone who was a little over the top happy. She smiled brightly at her. It seenmed as though this girl wasn't aas open as Davina was.

"Well its very nice to meet you. And again thank you for helping me with my books." She said smiling still.

"Are you shy or somwething?" she asked without really thinking.

Tessa was taken aback. "Shy? Me? Of course not!" she had to laugh. "I'm not much of a 'people person'. I don't get along well with others so I just try to keep my distance."

Tessa pondered Davina's enthusiasm. She couldn't understand how one person could be so upbeat and happy. It definitely wasn't something Tessa was used to.

"Are you this happy all the time?" Tessa asked with a sarcastic edge.

"Oh yes. I seem to be always this cheeful." She said with a smile. "It takes a lot to get me to wipe this smile off my face." She said pointing to her smile that hadn't faded yet. "Why don't you get along with others? You seem perfectly fine to me." Davina said peering at her.

"Yeah well, I guess it depends on the person." Tessa shrugged. "You, for instance, setting aside your perpetual happiness, don't seem all that bad. Play your cards right, and I might be able to get along with you," Davina's smile was contagious. For the first time in quite awhile, Tessa may have almost smiled. Almost.

"Well I like you. You helped me pick up my books." Davina said with her never fading smile. She liked pretty much anyone. Some could say bless you to her after she sneezed and she would like the person. "Oh did I see an almost smile there?" She asked semi pointing at her mouth. "I think I did."

"Smile? You saw no such thing!" Tessa couldn't hold it in. She started laugh. It wasn't even that funny but she actually laughed. It felt amazing. Davina had just done the impossible. Tessa suddenly didn't feel alone anymore. She actually felt like she was maybe making a friend.

"Ah see I was right." She said continuing to smile. "I take it you're not one to smile a lot then?"she asked looking up at her.

"No... I guess I'm not..." Tessa trailed off. She'd never really had much to smile about. Tessa then decided to quickly change the subject. "So... uh... what do you like to do when you're not, well, knocking books around?"

Davina laughed and smiled at the girl. "Well normally I'm just wandering around, talking to random people. I actually get really bored here." he admitted thinking. "What about you?"

Tessa nodded. "Pretty much the same. It does get really boring being locked up in this place all the time..." Tessa retreated into deep thought. She smirked, an evil kind of glint in her eye. "I think we need to do something to maybe spice things up a bit..."

Davina thought for a minute. Then she lookd at Tessa with a curious look. "Now when you say spice things up, What exactly do you mean by that?" She asked her curiously. She was up for anything fun though considering she was normally sitting being bored.

"Oh you know," Tessa waved her hand. "It could be anything from say... throwing a party to... causing trouble." Tessa smiled wickedly, her eyes flickered. "Any preferences?"

Davina smiled and shook her head when she mentioned trouble. "I have no preferences do you?" She asked, she thought she might want to cause some trouble but that may be a little out of her element. Davina wasn't known to cause trouble. She thought for a minute, she never really even got in trouble.
