Title: Night time Stroll?
Description: Roxanne * Noah & Open
Noah Reed - July 11, 2008 11:38 PM (GMT)
Noah was parked in front of the lake, looking pensively into its depths. He was a little tired from his stroll, if you could call it a stroll, he thought bitterly, and had chosen this secluded spot to relax. It seemed like a ood place to come to get away from everything and just think.
He had just applied to be the caretaker of Hogwarts. It was something he never imagined he'd do, waste his intelligence on something so meaningless.
Maybe another position would become available though, he wasn't counting on it.
He was sitting lost in thought when footsteps behind him sr=tartled him.

Roxane walked down the lake side. It was getting dark but Roxane didn't mind. As Roxane was walking she swore she saw someone in a wheelchair by the lake. Roxane walked up to him and then realised it was Noah. Roxane had always had a thing for Noah back when she was still at school. He was the one guy Roxane could never get.
Roxane walked up to him. "Noah is that you?" Roxane asked. When he saw her seemed a little startled. "Oh my god it is you. Long time no see."

Noah turned his chair around slowly. looking at the woman before him. He was 6'3, so even though he was in the wheelchair, he was still pretty tall.
"Roxanne?" he said, wondering if this was the girl he remembered from school.
"What brings you here tonight?" he asked.
Roxane Stalhand - July 12, 2008 12:01 AM (GMT)
Roxane smiled. "Yeah its Roxane" Roxane told him. She was a bit shocked about the whole wheelchair thing.
"Just thinking. Making sure no students are out after dark. I'm the DADA professor here now" Roxane told Noah. "What are you doing out here? Did you get a job here to?"
((OOC: Opps short))
Noah Reed - July 12, 2008 12:07 AM (GMT)
"Not yet," said Noah, answering her question, "But I applied for Caretaker." He could see a curious expression on her face, it was probably about the wheelchair.
"DADA, nice job," he replied, then fell silent, not knowing what to say to her next and feelin uncomfortable, as he alwasy did when he saw someone he had known before the accident, who didn't expect to see him this way.
Roxane Stalhand - July 12, 2008 12:13 AM (GMT)
"Waste of a good brain I say" Roxane said. "You were always one of the smartest people at school."
"So what happened. I mean with the wheelchair? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to" Roxane asked breaking the silence. It was getting akward.
Noah Reed - July 12, 2008 10:13 AM (GMT)
Noah inhaled a bit sharply and his jaw tensed. He hated when people came right out and asked him, unable to contain their nosiness, about the wheelchair. However, Roxanne had known him from before, he supposed it was only natural she wanted to know.
"Yea, I agree, Caretaker is by no stretch of my imagintion what I imagined doing. I'm just hoping a teaching position becomes avaiable. There isn't much else I can do. Auror? No. Besides I
already tried that before."
In response to her question about the wheelchair, he said evasively, "Boating accident."
Then he asked, "How have you been, it's been awhile."
Roxane Stalhand - July 12, 2008 10:22 PM (GMT)
"Oh" Roxane said. "It has been awhile. But I have been alright I guess. Almost got married until the b****** ran away with another girl" Roxane said coldly. "What about you? Well except the whole wheelchair thing. Anything amazing?"
Noah Reed - July 12, 2008 10:26 PM (GMT)
Noah's jaw tensed a little bit more. Roxane was begining to p**s him off, bringing up the accident so much. He remembered her so differently....
"Nothing really. Was engaged, she left after the accident," he said, keeping his response short and curt.
Roxane Stalhand - July 12, 2008 10:36 PM (GMT)
Roxane decided to stop talking about the wheelchair. It was probably starting to annoy him. "You want to go for a stroll?" Roxane asked. They had been in that spot for a while.
Noah Reed - July 13, 2008 05:28 AM (GMT)
"Yea sure," he said, glancing up at her, and pointing towards a clear, nicely maintained path.
They began their stroll in silence, each waiting for the other to speak.
