Title: Missing Home
Description: [OPEN]
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 03:47 AM (GMT)
Davina decided to write home considering she was so homesick. Maybe if she wrote her parents then she would feel better. It also didn't help that she was really bored and had absolutely nothing to do. She handed the letter to the owl and sat down at one of the tables. She began doodling on a parchment. She dipped the quill in ink but it wouldn't write.
"What the.." Confused she began pressing harder but nothing. She picked it up and looked at the tip, the ink was on there looked perfectly fine. She shook the quill a little too roughly and ink flew off of the tip and across the air towards the doorway. She heard a loud SPLAT.
"Oh darn, Please tell me that didn't hit anyone." She muttered to herself

John wasn't sure why he had made his way all the way up to the owlery, it wasn't like he had anyone to write to, but never the less, here he was. He had just walked in when something wet and black hit him in the face, Let that not be bird poop. he thought and quickly cleaned it off. Hearing something, he looked up and saw Davina, and smiled. "Hey!"
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 04:16 AM (GMT)
Davina quickly got up. "Oh I'm so sorry I didn't mean for it to hit you." She said not realizing who uit was yet. She whipped out a hankercheif and gave it to him. "Oh hey." She said smiling realizing who it was. "Wow I'm so sorry." She said apologizing again. She couldn't believe that she was so clumsy no matter what the situation was.
Johnathan Lawson - July 16, 2008 04:25 AM (GMT)
"We really don't find eachother in the most ideal situations do we?" He asked, the first time she had tripped over his legs and woke him up. "Well I guess this is pay back for making you fall. And don't worry about it, I'm glad that it's just ink." He said looking at the ink bottle in her hand. "So are you writing to someone?" he asked, ok so it wasn't the brightest question, but he didn't know what else to say.
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 04:34 AM (GMT)
Davina smiled. "Yea we do, and no worries I tripped over you , you didn't trip me." She said slightly laughing. "Oh yea I was writing my parents, I miss them way too much. I still can't sleep at night." Davina said sighing. "But now I'm jut sort of doodling, I'm so bored." She laughed at herself. She also needed to do things to make her not think about certain people. She sighed a little and frowned slightly when Blane came into her mind. She shook her head and smiled looking up at John. "What are you doing here?"
Johnathan Lawson - July 16, 2008 04:39 AM (GMT)
"Home sick?" He asked, he knew how that felt, he really missed home, but for another reason, he didn't really have one any more. "I don't really know what I'm doing up here really, I was just wandering and started climbing stairs, and this is where I ended up." He looked up at the owls, not some of their biggest fans, he had lots of nipped fingers when he had written to any one.
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 04:48 AM (GMT)
Davina pushed all of her thoughts of Blane away. She didn't need to get upset now. She had a weird night last night and just wanted to have anything take her mind off of it. "Oh well you should watch where you're wandering you wandered right into my ink." She laughed alittle.
Johnathan Lawson - July 16, 2008 04:51 AM (GMT)
"Yeah, I should keep that in mind next time I walk into to somewhere...Was there any reason you were throwing ink?" He asked her, pretty sure she hadn't been throwing it just for the joy of throwing something black and wet, which he didn't think that there could be too much joy in but he could always be wrong.
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 04:57 AM (GMT)
"Because that's what I do. I'm an ink thrower." She said smiling. "For some reason the quil wasn't working so I was sort of flailing it around and the ink sorta just splashed off." She shrugged with a little laugh. "And then on to your face."
Johnathan Lawson - July 16, 2008 05:01 AM (GMT)
"Ah, well it's good to know I didn't ruin some abstract art project you were trying out." He said, now sure he had gotten all the ink he was going to get off, off, he cleaned her hankerchief and handing it back to her. "Thank you. So how have you been since your late night adventure to the dongeons? " he asked
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 05:11 AM (GMT)
Davina smiled before answering him. She thought for a minute. She really wanted to talk to someone about what happened to her, but she couldn't . If anyone founf out she blabbed she would be in big trouble. "I've been great." She said som ewhat lying She was still sore from the crucio Trey threw at her.
Johnathan Lawson - July 16, 2008 05:20 AM (GMT)
"Well that's good to hear." He said, not catching her lie. "So have you had any new adventures?" he asked as he took a seat on the floor by her, other than things with Casey, which had been getting a little more serious and confusing, life this week had been boring for him.
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 05:30 AM (GMT)
Davina thought for a moment. Getting cursed by your DADA teacher while he and another student faught about him being a better death eater, probably counted as an adventure. "No pretty boring." She lied again. She was surprised he didnt catch her other lie, she wasnt the best liar. "What about you?"
Johnathan Lawson - July 16, 2008 07:20 PM (GMT)
"I've been looking for a place to stay." He said, he had been worried that he wouldn't have a place to stay after school. His grandparents had been sold before he could say anything about it, but it wasn't like he could afford it anyway. "Kinda boring huh?"
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 07:22 PM (GMT)
Davina looked at him slightly confused. "Oh not boring at all." She smiled, but then wondered for a few minute. "Oh why are you looking for a place? Are you movin out of your house or something?" She asked curiously.
Johnathan Lawson - July 16, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
"I've been living with my grandparents for about eight years, but they died over the summer, so I kinda need to find a place of my own." He said, it was a hassle, but he figured having a house to actually go to would be nice, plus then he and Casey could stay there together for the summer so she wasn't at her dad's, that was a great thing.
Davina Ashford - July 16, 2008 07:53 PM (GMT)
"Oh, I'm sorry that I asked." Davina said feeling bad. She hoped she didn't bring up any bad feelings or anything. She wouldn't have even asked if she knew it was something like that. "I'm you can find a place, even if it's just a small apartment to start out with." She putting on a warm smile.
