AJ was up in the Owlery sending off a letter to a confident known only to him as "le Chasseur". AJ met him while he was chasing a Dark Wizard through Scotland this summer. Le Chasseur came up from France when he graduated from Beauxbâtons Academy of Magic. Now in his late twenty's he took to hunting Dark Wizards in countries around Europe. Specifically in the UK. Where he says 'Most of them usually come to'.

Both he and AJ think they know why, the history of Voldemort draws them here. And the NDE is getting members from all over.

When they met they agreed to give code names to eachother and Le Chasseur would never send the owl to Hogwarts, but to AJ's home in Kennington. This meant AJ had to sneak off the grounds as his eagle animagus and then apparate to his home. It was risky, but worht it. AJ had written a letter to his friend.

"Le Chasseur,

I have found out that there are some NDE or NDE supporters within Hogwarts walls. Some students but more importantly professors. Lycs Anima is known to go off from time to time. I know he is within Harshing's main circle. Then there is Daniel Blackspine, who hates muggles and I heard rumour that Friday Rider is an NDE as well. There might be more.

Hogwarts might be under seige but the headmaster isn't saying anything. Should we suspect him?

I will be at the pub where we talked about in person last time halfway through the month and at high sun. Please be discreet.

AJ sent off a random owl that nobody would suspect and wish he was the one flying. He turned around and noticed someone walking into the Owlery.

"Hullo," he said being polite, but the student had asked him a question, forcing him to stay and answer.

Davina had her arms crossed while walking through the corridors. She had let her mind wander to previous events again. She couldn't help but keep thinking back to her detention. She couldn't believe that Professor Raynes was a death eater. She heard him and lane talking while she was writhing in pain on the floor from the crucio he sent at her.

Blane made her promise not to tell, but really why should she keep it? It's not like he could get in trouble really, he wasn't a death eater yet. Yet was the big key word of course in that sentence. He wold one day be one. Maybe that's why she wasn't saying anything. If he found out he would be really upset, possibly never talk to her again. And of course then she would really never speak to him again.

She dug her face into both of her hand sighing loudly. She really had to stop thinking about this. It was eating away at her pretty bad. She decided to write her family again. Maybe talking to them would cheer her up and clear her mind of all this deatheater business.

She walked into the owelery her hands still covering her face. She brought them down and looked up not expecting to see anyone there now, and her being on edge that she had been on lately she stepped back a litle.

"Hi, what are you doing here?"

She almost smacked hersef in the forehead. Obviously he must be send an letter out to someone you idiot. She sighed and then put on a fake smile. She hoped he wasn't one of the many students the death eaters seemed to have on their side. She really couldn't handle another person hexing her until she was in so much pain.

"Just sending a letter," he responded. At first he thought she had known his secret of transforming into an eagle and flying out with the owls. But then he read her face. She was distraught over something and probably wasn't thinking clearly. He had seen this girl around; looking at the ensignia on her cloak he saw she was in Gryffidor.

"You okay?" he opened up. He had been so cold lately. "You seem...shaken up?" He was hoping she wasn't a pureblood fanatic. Other than Dark Wizards, he hated fanatics just as bad.

The Owlery was empty from what he could tell, so he was ready for her to attack, just incase she was crazy like Flame.

Davina sighed at her own stupidity. Obviously he was just sending a letter. Why would she even ask what he was doing. She looked t him, he seemed familiar, probably seen him a couple time in classes or something. She looked up when he asked if she was ok. She wanted to say no, but she finally didn't speak with out thinking first.

"Oh yes..I'm sorry. I snapped at you alittle." She said now showing a real smile. "I'm just a little.." She began. A couple of words floated in her head. Scared? Suspicious or everyone? She shook her head. "Not myself today." She concluded finally.

She wasn't about to spill everything out to him. She didn't know him, and with her luck he'd be the one person not to spill anything to. "The school's a little different lately. Kind of am afraid of who I'm going to bum into now." She admitted. That ould explain her jumpiness just fine.

AJ had hoped she meant about the Professors and how it seemed Hogwats was changing for the worse.

"Yeah..." he said scratching his head. "I do know what you meant." AJ wasn't afraid of who he bumped into, more just afraid of what he might do. He didn't want to be expelled, that would ruin his hopes of becoming an Auror.

"Have you noticed anything...." he paused, worrying she was one of them. "Different about some professors lately?"

He wasn't sure if she understood what he meant. Risking it even further, "I mean, their views on...politics?"

He was sure she understood what he meant. His eyes narrowed, and his hand was moving for his wand...just in case.

Davina's eyes widened. "Oh boy hve I." Darn. Reall thinking before speaking is always best. She thought for a minute. She didn't have to talk about the other night, after all she suspected Professor Raynes way before that anyway. She looked back up at him. "Yea, it's seems a lot of the professors seem to be bit all for purebloods." She said uputting it lightly.

She had heard about a few other rofessors but hadn't personally seen anything like she had with Professor Raynes. "Kind of sucks for me actually, being muggle born." She shrugged. She was never ashamed of that and didn't really get how anyone could have anything against her because of how she was born.

"Oh how rude of me. I'm Davina by the way." She said realizing she forgot her manners. She took a few step closer towards him and exteded her hand towards him.

"Yeah I know." he sad with a frown. "I think some might even be NDE." he lowered his voice.

"I'm muggleborn too! AJ." he shook her hand.

She might still be lying, but no pureblood would ever pretent to be a muggleborn. Maybe half, but not a mud. He looked at her noticing she must be atleast a 5th year. "There are some professors who try and make my life miserable. But they can't fail me because my work is top notch." he said with a smile.

"But it still stinks with Ray-" he stopped, "When professors call me mudblood in front of the entire class."

Davina smiled widely when she heard him say he was muggle born as well. Thank goodness, she really met way too many pureblood people who followed all those kind of stupid things the DE professors did."Nicce to meet you." She smiled at him. "Wow I get what you mean." She said referring to how the try and make life miserable. She was glad she was talking somewhat about it.

She perked up when he began his next sentence. "Wow that happens to you too?" She asked frowning somewhat. That wourd really did hurt her. She didn't get how if you weren't pureblood you were just considered something disgusting and filthy.

"Yea happens to me too. I just hate they can do whatever they want and they just get away with it like it doesn't matter." She said with a shrug as if it's not like she could do anything about it.

AJ was hoping she would say something about a professor, but she didnt. Either she was scared out of her wit, or she just didn't have a name to give. Or she was very secretive, like him. AJ very much wanted to form a group of students to terrorize the NDE professors, but he didn't want to go around asking others in case one of them tattled on him.

"I hate it to," his brow furrowed. "What year are you in? Just wondering. I know professors are more harsh on older students. I think they feel they can still brainwash the younger ones." He said referring to the NDE Professors, of course.

Davina thought about Professor Raynes. Maybe she could say she knew first hand he was a death eater. Maybe not. She kept tossing the idea in her head. She couldn't but agree with him. It did seem they were harsher to the students above about their 4th year.

"I'm a 6th year." She said to him. "What about you?" She asked. He must have been either a 6th or 7th year. Maybe she would mention that she had a suspicion on Professor Raynes. She knew she couldn't fla out say she knew he was a death eater wtithout saying more.

"I'm a seventh year. I have already turned of age last year. I turn 18 in January." he smiled at her. "I have the habit of apparating while in Hogsmeade. Somehow I havent been caught yet." he wanted to see if she was one to run and tattle.

"I've been awfully busy outside of Hogwarts...but dont tell anybody please?" he let it slip, and was now in trouble. Unless of course she was somebody he could trust.

He was nervous. Why had he been so stupid to let it slip he had been leaving. Now she might want to know what he does outside of Hogwarts. He had already told John and Casey from Hufflepuff, and was thinking about telling Edith. But a girl he had just met. How wreckless of him.

Davina wondered what on earth he would be doing out there, but she figured if he wanted to tell her he would. "Of course I wont tell. I'm good with keep my promises." She said smiling. She thought of the promise she made Blane, about not telling about what happened. She definitly wouldn't talk about what happened that night then. She would be some kind of hypocrit if she did. But if AJ asked she would talk about her suspisions about Professor Raynes.

"I just have people I'm...looking for, out there. It's complicated." he decided to drop a hint of what he does: "But I suppose I should be looking more carefully at some professors."

He didn't smile, instead he just looked, reading her eyes, seeing what she was thinking. She seemed to understand and know that there were NDE professors here. "I've been...nevermind." he wasnt ready to tell. She might still be lying and really an NDE supporter.

Davina eyed him. He was about to say something to her but must have decided against it. She shrugged. He didn't have to tell her anything. She decided maybe to just mention Professor Raynes.

"Um, well if you're looking for people.." She began starting to feel a little guilty for openin her mouth. It wasn't like she give out any details or anything. "You should keep an eye on Professor Raynes." She finally said.

AJ had been hoping she would open up. He knew she knew something. Her saying Raynes' name verified one of the names he was worried about. He had heard rumours and wanted to make sure before he started to take any action.

"Have you heard anything that would make you think I need to watch out for Prof. Daniel Blackstine (OOC or whatever his name is)? I had heard some interesting things with him favouring Slytherins."

He knew that Davina would be a trusted source from now on.

Davina thought for a moment. Professor Blackspine had seemed ok to her. "The only thing I seen is maybe alittle bit of favoritism maybe." She shruggede slightly. "He seemed to take off points from a huffle puff and add points for slythrin for nothing at all really." She said with another smal shrug.

AJ had already known his points favouratism. Perhaps he was rushing his accusations a bit. He needed to calm down. He just remembered they were still standing in the Owlery.

"Didnt you need to send a letter?" he asked, "Or do you just like to hang out up here?" he smiled at her.

AJ hadnt noticed the smell, but the owls were starting to bother his nose.

Davina smiled. She completely forgot why she was even here. "Well I didn't have to I was just sort of hoping to get my mind off of things." She said with a shrug. Oh darn don't ask what things. She stupidly couldn't just say oh yes let m go write that, no she had to say that.

He wondered what was on her mind. Perhaps something to do with Raynes. It was very possible, the way she talked about him.

"Well...if you want to talk about it, let me know?" he smiled hoping she would open to him. He was aware that she would probably keep it inside. He was after all basically a stranger.

"Perhaps we should get out of here then. Is there anywhere else you had to go?"

"Ah thank you." She said. She was glad he didn't press the issue but it felt nice that even though they didn't really know eachother he seemed so nice and would listen. She sm iled widely and pushed thoughts of the Professor and Blane away.

"Had to go? Me? Oh no not at all." She said shaking her head. "You?" getting out of there did sound good though.

"No, no. Nowhere to go."

Were they going to stay in the Owlery all night, or perhaps they could walk the grounds together. "Do you...want to part ways then?" he asked, not wanting to of course.

His smile went to a semi-frown. It looked as if he had no emotion at all.

"Well not really. I don't really want to be alone." She admitted. She always seemed to find trouble when she was alone. Her being so clumsy she also bumped into the wrong person. She really wasn't in the mood for that now. Besides AJ seemed like a person she could actually be friends with.

"well then," he said, pointing to the door.

As they made their way down the Owlery steps he realized how easy it would be to just fly down. But surely he wouldnt risk it, being seen from a distance. And at the moment he was next to a girl he had met just minutes ago.

"Any classes you particularly like? It's Transfiguration for me." He smiled, watching the steps to make sure he didnt trip.

Davina smiled. "I find that class rather interesting but I think my favortie would be potions. Even though with me you never know, an explosion could occur." She joked. "I'm pretty clumsy." She concluded rememberd her last potions lesson. She cut her hand about three different times. She smiled thinking about it. She stumbled on one of the steps almost falling forward but grabbed on to AJ's arm.

"Sorry.." She mumbled. Stupid clumsy legs.

AJ felt her grab his arm as she slipped. "Potions is fun." he said remembering an explosion earlier in the year. It seemed everyone he talked to loved Potions, he was never a fan of it. Of course he needed it to become an Auror.

"Yeah..." he said smiling. He hadnt opened up to anyone in a long time. He tried to avoid other students all together.

Davina smiled at him. She realized she was pretty much walking with a total stranger. She was also still rather curious as to what he was talking about before. About him apparating in and out. But she decided not ask. "Is AJ short for anything?" She asked still with other thoughts on her mind.

"Yeah...Andrej (pronounced Andre) it's Polish. My parents dropped the Z when we moved from Poland. It used to be A N D R Z E J. People pronounced it wrong. Still do acutally. So I took the first and last letter in the name." he smiled.

"Davina is a pretty name," he said knowing girls like to here that. He wasn't flirting. Just being friendly.

"Where are you from?"

Davina smiled. "Thank you." She said. He was awfully nice. "Well that was smart I would hate if people kept mispronouncing my name." (ooc:happens to me in real life..idk how sumple name lol) Davina looked around. "Why do you like Transiguration so much?"

AJ loved Transfiguration for so many reasons. "I suppose it started because I was good at it. Prof. Anima tells me I'm the best he has seen in years." he always made it a point to say that; he worst habit. "But you can do so much with it. It is just...perfect."

He then thought about his favourite thing about it: "And knowning Transfiguration makes it easier to study to become an Animagus. Though the Ministry grants very few people the right to study. Unless of course you're born with it...which is rare."

AJ had studied alot about becomming an animagus. Something he managed just before the end of last semester.

Davina listened carefully. "That sounds pretty cool actually." She wondered what it would be like to be an animagus. Must be pretty cool. "The best in years huh?" She smiled while playfully rolling her eyes. "Well you must be pretty proud abotu that."

"Of course," he grinned, "I mean, I work so hard. I actually use the Room of Requirement to study, while others use it for Merlin knows what."

He often found himself sneaking into the library past hours as well, often sleeping in there. He was a true Ravenclaw through and through.

"Do you have any weird obessions like that? Not school, but anything?"

Davina thought for moment. She didn't really have any weird obsessions like he did. She shrugged. "Well I don't have any obsessions really maybe just a few odd character traits." She said with a slight tilt of her head. "I'm really have a bad habbit of forgiving people no matter what they do to me." She said thinking about Blane. How he threatened her and what not and yet she still cared about him and acted like it never happened.

He sort of frowned. "Well that's not good. You should stand up for yourself." he said, smiling now.

AJ was thinking if she was being tortured or picked on by students. Or even professors now. He feared the worse. He had started to fear the worst possible scenario a lot now. He needed to stop doing that.

"Try and be stronger you know?" he suggested.

Davina knew he was right. This quality had let a lot of people just walk all over because they knew in the end she would forgive them. She nodded agreeing with him. "Yea I know but, I guess I just see the good in everyone and I find it hard not to forgive people." She shrugged. She probably even forgave professor Raynes, he just still scared her.

AJ sort of understood her thought process. He on the other hand found the worse in people. Not his friends of course, but those he saw in the halls. He assumed they all supported the NDE.

"I see what you mean," he lied. "Just be careful not to forgive anybody that was too wicked." AJ didn't want to see anybody getting hurt.

Davina smiled. "Of course. I'm not that forgiving." She lied. She knew pretty well she would forgive pretty much anything someone did to her. Which was pretty dumb considering the people she was around and the type of people in the school.

AJ sighed. Perhaps Davina was a careful girl.

The two continued to walk aimlessly around the grounds. It was getting darker and colder with every step. He looked at the girl he had met only an hour earlier, wondering what she would be doing if AJ wasn't in the Owlery.

He then just remembered that he had sent a letter. The response would be back shortly. But he didn't know if he should go back up there with Davina. It would look suspicious.

They sat under a tree looking at the sunset over the lake. "Hogwarts is an amazing place." he said quietly.

Davina shivered slightly and wrapped her hands around her arms. She didn't the sudden weather change, and really shouldn't have picked today to wear a short sleeve shirt.

She looked up at AJ, it looked like he was thinking about something. And then he spoke.

"Oh yea it is, and it's a shame it's getting taken over by dogs." She spoke without thinking again. She should really learn how to control that. She didn't really mean that, its just sometimes she got a weird feeling. Why would someone like Professor Raynes be here if it wasn't some plan. And she has hear talk of other teachers appearing to be a little odd. She hoped he didn't take her outburst too seriously.

AJ was shocked by her statement. Though they talked about this already, it was such a bold statement. The cool air was getting to him.

"Yeah." he agreed. He knew Hogwarts was going though a transition and hoped the Headmaster would realize the professors were NDE. But he could only hope.

"Ever swim in the lake?" he asked. Remembering one of his favourite hobbies while at the school.

She was glad he didn't dwell on her statement. She really hated how she just blurted things out sometimes. When he mentioned swimming in the lake se shook her head.

"I um actually, I don't know how to swim." She admitted with a slight shrug. She never really learned and always found it silly to tell people that she didn't know how. It seemed like everyone knew how to swim.
