Hogsmeade was nicer than he could have imaginied. Though he had been living in the UK for almost a decade he never made his way north to the famous school or the village next to it. Florent noticed the little stores and how they varied so much.

He found a pub, he didn't notice the name, but figured he could get a good drink.

"Ello monseur." he said to the bartender, he still had a heavy French accent. "A firewheesky pleese." He waited for the drink and sat down in the corner. He was dressed sharp, his facial hair was beginning to grow back since his previous shave.

He knew only one student at Hogwarts, they were in communication since meeting in Glasgow in the summer. Florent was told to check out Hogsmeade for some Dark Wizards that have been lurking near the school. He had yet to see any, but was enjoying his drink. An older student, or maybe a young professor caught his eye. He stood up and walked over to them.

Florent was normally cold and distant and kept no friends. But he was hunting at the moment. He needed sources. "May I join you?"

Roxane was humming to herself. She was thinking of her childhood. Back when she was little. How her mother used to sing to her in French. She snapped out of it when someone came up to her. "Oh yes sure" Roxane said. He at down next to her. "My name Roxane. But you can call me Rox or Roxy. Your name is?" Roxane asked as he put down her drink.

He smiled as Roxane offered him a seat. "My name is Florent." he said sitting. He thought Roxane looked familiar, but he wasn't sure. Where would he have seen her before.

"Are you from around here?" he asked. Most adults in Hogsmeade either worked here, or was a professor. Perhaps she was a traveller like himself.

Many students were in Hogsmeade today. He was wondering if his little, well big, friend would be around. Florent knew they must not be seen together though.

"I work at Hogwarts. DADA Professor. You from around here?" Roxane asked. Roxane noticed Florents French accent. "You are French, yes?" Roxane asked. Roxane looked down at the photo' she was shorting through. They were from her last class. Roxane was trying hard not to laugh. Trey's desk made her crack up.

"Ah, Defence Against the Dark Arts? Very important. My old school had asked me to teach there. I declined. I'd rather be travelling." He said. He had thought long and hard about returning to Beauxbâtons.

"I am fron just outside of Paris. I have lived around the UK for a decade now. Moving from city to city; wherever I can find a bed to sleep in."

He thought about his only friend, who was still a student. He had a house in London he was staying at now. it was a cozy rowhouse in Kennington.

"I think I saw you in the Daily Prophet perhaps." he said remembering her face. He tried to glance down at the photos, but couldn't see any faces,

"Maybe in the news paper. But the only time I can remember being on the front cover was when I was 13. Back when my parents were killed" Roxane said remembering there death. "But I may of been in it for the Auror department. Who knows" Roxane said.

"You waiting for someone?" Roxane asked. He seemed to be. Since he kept looking around.

"You can look at the photo's if you want" Roxane said. "They are from my last class. I painted my help teacher's desk pink. He was so happy."

Auror. That was it. She was an Auror. "A yes an Auror." he said Auror with a French accent so the r's were barely there. "I respect what you do. Dark Wizards...nasty little things." He took hunted them, but he couldn't fathom being an Auror, too many rules and regulations.

"No I'm not waiting for someone." he said looking at the photos. He was skimmnig them for he knew no one. Then he came across a picture.

It was his confident, AJ, with his wand out, there must have been some demonstration in class. And then in the background he saw a man he thought to be an NDE.

"Who is this man?" he asked hastily pointing at Raynes.

"Oh him. Thats Trey, real jerk. Oh course NDE. One of the reasons I let him work with me. So I could keep an eye on him" Roxane told Florent. "But I haven't been doing a good job of making sure he doesn't do anything" Roxane said sadly. She loved her jobs and wanted to do good at them. But sadly she was a better teacher than an Auror. "You two friends?" Roxane asked.

He was appaled. "Friends with an NDE member?" he spit. "Never. I make it my lifes mission to capture as many dark wizards and bring them to the Ministry of Magic. It's hard being a one man crew."

He was furious NDE was inside of Hogwarts. "Make sure he isn't recruiting students! That would be horrible." he was yelling in a whisper. Making sure others wouldnt hear him.

"Sorry. My mistake" Roxane told Florent. "I'll make sure. Most of the people at school hate him. So no need to worry. The only thing I am worried about is his habit of sending unforgiveables at students. No telling anyone I'm an Auror by the way. Trey isn't the only NDE working at the school. I don't really want them all to know. I would be a target" Roxane told him.

"I hope you do well with the whole NDE chasing. Its hard work."

More NDE inside Hogwarts. "What?! How could the headmaster let this happen?" Florent needed to calm down.

"It's easier than it seems. Just need help that's all. Most of the wizards you have caught were due to me." he didnt want to rub it in. The truth was he would lead wizards into traps so an Auror could catch them and he could go undetected.

Genevieve walked into the pub and ordered a firewhisky. She looked around and saw Rox sitting with a nice looking man. She decided to see what was going on. She approached the table and said hi to Rox. "Hi Rox! Its good to see you!." After hugging Rox she stuck out a hand to the new man and introduced herself. "Im Genevieve Rasmuse. I hope you dont mind if I join you two.?" Gen asked before sitting down.

Roxane glared at Florent for a second. "Nice to know. One day I will have to repay your kindness" Roxane said to Florent. She was a bit p****d off at Florent's comment. But she had to let it go. He was just trying to help. Roxane had finished her drink. She saw Gen come over.

"Sure sit down Gen. This Florent Rousseau. Yet another French dark wizard chaser. We are everywhere" Roxane said while giggling. "How are you Gen? Oh I have that paper work for the Auror department if you want it."

"Another Auror?" he asked shaking Gen's hand. "Nice to meet you. Of course I respect your line of work greatly."

He smiled at Roxane's comment about French hunters. "Yes, I have quite the obsession hunting Dark Wizards." he took a sip from his drink.

He was talking to two Aurors in a very public place. He had hoped if any Dark Wizards or NDE were around they didn't see him. He tried to stay out of sight whenever possible.

"Any leads on the village raid in Wales? AJ---"he stopped saying AJ's name having it sound like 'age'. "A friend of mine said he heard from a Dark Wizard the NDE was behind it."

He quickly drank the rest of his firewhiskey.

Gen shook the mans hand and sat down. She nodded when hesaid he respected her line of work. "Thank you, and you the same." Gen said in a professional tone. Gen heard him ask a question. "No I havent heard of any leads as of yet. Have you?" Gen asked a bit intrigued. Gen heard Rox say she had some paperwork for the Aor Department. "Oh yes Rox, let me see the papers if you would." Gen said sipping her firewhisky.

He watched as Roxane gave Gen the papers. "Leads? Just a name Allison. My friend doesn't know her last name, or if she is NDE. She just mentioned it before. He has been leaving Hogwarts secretly and going to Knockturn Alley."

As soon as he said it he realized his mistake. He gave it up that his informant was a student. This was not good at all.

Before he could recover his mistake he saw the other two realize and digest what he justl revealed.

"Allison. Really. I know a woman named Allison. She is a bit older than me but we are kinda friends. Well we used to be back at Hogwarts. I could look into her if you want Gen" Roxane said to Gen.

Roxane put her hand up and said "Waiter!" The waiter came over and Roxane said "Can I have another water please." The waiter nodded and walked away. "Florent were did you get this information from?" Roxane asked.

Gens mind wasnt working right at the moment. She heard the name ALlison and went blank. nce Rox talked abotu her for a oment, Gen figured it out. "Rowe. Thats her last name Alison Rowe. Yes Rox you should do some research on her, watch her every move." Gen said smiling. Genfinished her firewhisky and took another once from the waiter as he walked by. Gen elaned in close to hear where Florent got his info. Gen was quite curious. "Yes Florent, where did you get yoru information? That could really help us out." Gen said.

He was backed into a corner now. They both wanted to know. Perhaps it would help. "Well, a student." he didnt want to give the name away. "Seventh year Ravenclaw. Extremely talented in Transfiguration. Big bloke."

He figured they could get it from there. "We have been working together ever since we bumped into eachother in Glasgow over the summer. Both chasing a Dark Wizard names Klavis."

He was worried AJ might be in trouble. "He is very valuable to me. If you wish to contact him send an owl to L'aigle Doré . It's the code I use for him. It takes it to his home in Kennington, he checks there often."

He looked at both with a serious stare.

Gen listened intently. Then decided to write down all the details. She wrote his year and house, his description, and also his nickname. She also wrote down the name of thr dark wizard they were chasing. Klavis. Gen looked at Florent and nodded. "Thanks for the info. I promise his name will not get out there. This will all be confidential." Gen said closing her notebook and sucking down her second firewhisky.

"Yeah thats the Allison I know" Roxane said as she drank the water the waiter had just given her. "Like Gen said. Your friend is safe."

Roxane turned to Gen and said "Gen you want to see this" Roxane passed Gen two photo's. One of Trey sitting in his new pink desk. The other of when Davina made the boggart who was being Trey have a pink dress. "Nice aye. Out lesson on boggarts. I painted Trey's desk pink because he broke one of my rules. The one with him in the dress is a boggart."

Florent was glad he was safe. "If you ever need to get ahold of me send an owl to Le Chasseur. We prefer to use code names. In case they're intercepted.

He watched as they looked at the pictures. Roxane talked about Raynes like he was an equal. The one thing about Florent was that he hated any dark wizard. He didn't care if they were supposed to be better people and look past the evil. He just couldnt do it.

Gen looked at the pictures Rox showed her. Gen started laughing hysterically. "Oh that is so funny! Was he mad that his desk was painted?!" gen asked not being able to stop laughing. "I wish I could see thereal him in a dress right in front of my eyes!" Gen said smiling and taking a drink of her firewhisky. She then turned to Florent. "So youre French I presume Florent?"

"Yes, I grew up just outside of Paris. My family is from Grenoble though." he said, "I have been living around the UK ever since I left Beauxbâtons."

He was drinking as they looked at the photos. The two aurors seemed nice, he could never understand all of their rules with catching dark wizards though. If he ever went into the Ministry of Magic, he would want to be in the Hit Wizard Office, a branch of the Aurors. They're much more lethal and are allowed to break certain rules Aurors could never. Perhaps he could ask them about it. But at another time. He didnt want to impose.

Gen listened to Florent. He mentioned something about Beauxbatons. Gen sighed. "I grew up in France and moved here when I was 11, just getting ready to go to Beauxbatons, but I went to Hogwarts." Gen was a bit sad remembering this, but she blew it off. "Can I have another firewhisky over here please?" Gen announced to the worl and soon enough, a waiter came by and set one on the table. "Thank you." Ge nsaid taking a big drink out of it.

Roxane laughed. "Just get a jug of Firewhisky Gen. Much easier than calling the waiter again and again" Roxane told Gen.

"Well if anyone cares I am yet another French person. Born and raised in France. Moved with my parent to England when I was 10. Went to Hogwarts when I was 11. Then moved back to France when O was 12 but still went to Hogwart. Then moved back to London when I was 13 to live with my aunt and uncle" Roxane told them.

Roxane got her photo's and put them back in her handbag. "Gen you want a copy of the 2 you saw?"

He listened to her history. "We're all French Wizard Hunters then? How interesting!" he said, wanting to speak in French but wasn't sure if they remembered it still.

The firewhiskey arrived and he poured it into his glass. "Love this stuff. In France we have this wine made from Grindylow something. I forget what exaclty. It sounds horrible, but is in fact delicious," he drank his firewhiskey, "It's called vin le Grindy. It's a green wine." he said looking at the other two's facial expressions.

Roxane nodded. Not really listening. She had over things on her mind. Something about wine was all she heard. "Oh I probably have some in one of the cellars at home" Roxane said. Still she wasn't listening. Pretty was on her mind AGAIN and Roxane had to get her out.

Roxane seemed distracted. Florent didn't really care, he was always distracted by something or someone else in the room. But she looked worried/distracted. Something was on her mind, but he wasn't a friend and didn't want to intrude on her life. The three sat drinking, exchanging stories. They made it seem like being an Auror was amazing. Florent was starting to think being an Auror would be fun.

He still would prefer to be a Hit Wizard, within the Auror Dept. They were rare, lethal, and had few rules. "How many Aurors are on your staff now?" he asked the two.

Gen laughed at Rox when she told her to order a jug. "Yeah I know I should. I love the stuff." Gen smiled big when Rox asked her if she wanted copies of the pictures. "Of course I do! Please!" Gen said giggling. She drank more firewhisky, feeling a bit drunk. They all went on about their french lives and for a single moment, Gen felt at home again, in France. Gen, daydreaming, heard Florent ask her a question. "Oh not many at all. I think its me, Rox, and a couple other people." Gen said feeling embarassed.

Florent remembered when he first came to the UK. The Auror Department was swarmed with Aurors. But then again Voldemort was on the loose those days. Perhaps they could use an extra hand now. But Florent wasn't ready to give up his freedom just yet.

He had a thought, 'Maybe that is why NDE are in Hogwarts now. Not enough Aurors.' but he did not dare to say it outloud. He respected these two.

"I see. Well perhaps more will be applying soon?" he said with a smile as he finished off yet another drink.

Gen drank some more Firewhisky. "Yes, atleast I hope so. No one wants to join because we do not have many missions as of now." Gen said feeling a bit frustrated. She slammed her drink down and rested her head on her hand and looked away from the others.

Florent knew there was missions and work to be done. The Ministry felt the NDE were just a gang of misfits up until recently. "Yeah, perhaps." He said with a drink.

She looked frustrated to say the least. "Well, I'm sure missions will be pouring in soon." Thinking of all of the death eaters roaming the country. Plus the darkies who werent even connected to the NDE. There were thousands maybe.
