Title: Researching in Flourish and Blotts
Description: For Mei

Florent Rousseau - July 18, 2008 12:43 AM (GMT)
Florent was in Flourish and Blotts looking for books that dealt with past crimes in the wizarding world. He had already read through books around muggle house raids, and a book around the word Mudblood. He was skimming other books about the rise and fall of Voldemort. He found it interesting. He was in France at the time hunting a group of dark wizards that was running around Paris.

He was currently reading a book on dark wizards using animals under the Imperius curse. Leaving many of them dead. He noticed a woman looking near by.

"Bonjour," he said, closing the book, turning to her.

Mei was in Flourish and Blotts for the same reasons as most others; book shopping. She was currently looking for some new books on the animal reservations she used to work in; hoping to find out how they were faring now a days.

Her attention was promptly drawn form her task however when she noticed the book a man in the same section as her was reading. It was a book about animal imperious curses and she was suddenly livid once more at the scum that did such things. Mei had missed most of the war, she had been in the reserves in Europe, she had been one of those trying to find the stolen cursed dragons that were slaughtered.

Her dark thoughts were ended when the man suddenly greeted her, and in french no less. She smiled brightly at him automatically, her previous annoyance forgotten and her short form taking a few steps closer to converse at a normal distance.

"Ni hao...Sorry i couldn't help but notice the book you were reading; they were nothing more scum to slaughter creatures like that."

Florent Rousseau - July 18, 2008 01:15 AM (GMT)
He looked over at her. "Oh, yeah. Dark wizards are disgusting. I don't even consider them real wizards. Horrible. Just horrible."

AJ glanced back down to the book. "Are you in the animal field then? Or do you just love them?"

He put it back, checking for other books. He needed to see where Harshing was getting his ideas. There had to be other wizards he was mimicking.

Mei seemed satisfied by his answer, glad almost that he wasn't one of the scum she'd be referring too. She gripped a book closer to her, it was about the Romanian reserve she once worked at.

"May names Mei by the way and the answer is both" I adore magical animals and muggle animals alike and i've been working with them for nearly10 years now, most recently as Hogwarts CoMC professor....What about you? What brings you here?"

Her eyes followed him as he moved, looking for a different book. She couldn't help but let her curiosity peak, after all animal trainers had to be observant.

"What are you looking for?"

Florent Rousseau - July 18, 2008 01:41 AM (GMT)
Another professor. At this rate he would meet the entire staff by the end of the month. "Oh, just researching Dark Wizard history. It's...a hobby you could say."

She watched him closely. She seemed to be very observant.

"My name is Florent," he couldnt give his fake name, in case she mentioned meeting him to the other professors he had already met.

He found a book, but decided not to pick it up. His eyes scanned the room. Surely there wouldnt be a Dark Wizard in a bookstore in Diagon Alley.

Mei Feng - July 18, 2008 02:00 AM (GMT)
A curious expression crossed her face when he mentioned Dark Wizard history, it was a bit of an unusual hobby now a days; most people were superstitious about it after Voldermort.

"Well its nice to meet you Florent, had any look with your hobby so far? It's a very unique hobby anyway." her tone was cheerful but her words held thousands of questions. He was either strange or vague.

Her eyes watched his travel around the room and she couldn't help but follow his gaze, finding him watching over the other customers.

"Looking for someone?"

Florent Rousseau - July 18, 2008 02:10 AM (GMT)
"Well," he looked back at her. "Not really a hobby. More of a job." He said, alluding to his hunting.

"No, not looking for someone, just observing. Like you seem to do." he smiled at the Professor.

"Care for Magical Creatures then? Must be nice to be outside all day. I am mostly in dark pubs or grungy parts of the city."

He was tired of standing around, "Care to go upstairs to the lounge to continue this conversation?" he asked, hoping she would like to continue to talk.

Mei Feng - July 19, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
"Being observant is part of the job, its a habit really." she laughed brightly to show she was being modest before nodding in reply to his question about sitting upstairs in the lounge.

She didn't wait for him to respond before heading over the the stairs, her small frame moving rather quickly. She paused at the bottom of the stairs, picking up a previous strain of conversation she turned her head back to him.

"Oh its a nice job, always something different to do. You'll have to let me show you a reserve sometime, they still let me back on them; nostalgia i suppose. That's if your not too busy with your hobby" she winked at him before continuing "...Lets go sit then!" she was beginning to be painfully cheerful.

Florent Rousseau - July 19, 2008 10:17 PM (GMT)
He listened as she explaier her job. She seemed to love it as much as Florent loved hunting dark wizards. Animals were always interesting to him. It always amazed him what they could do and how smart they were. Florent always hated the use of animals by dark wizards. It seemed getting the more savage of animals under the imperius curse was easier than getting a wizard. They even used non magical creatures like wolves, and tigers. Just because of how dangerous they were.

The reserves sounded like a nice place, "Sounds interesting." he said sitting down upstairs. It was a nice addition to the book store. Gives wizards and witches a chance to read and relax before stepping back out into the real world.

Mei dropped into the chair opposite his easily and lightly due to her small frame. Curling up almost as she sat, clearly comfortable in the lounge of the shop, which suggested she came her often. She dropped her book onto the table and watched his expressions as he seemed to think and then reply. It was then she realised she did observe far too much, old habits die hard.

“Humm, lovely places, you seemed well travelled, so I’m surprised you haven’t been through them.” She wanted to ask him all about his life, instead of babbling on about hers, but she felt sort of awkward doing so, after all everyone had secrets.
