Title: Getting her mind off of things
Description: [OPEN]
Davina Ashford - July 20, 2008 04:13 PM (GMT)
Davina decided to sit in the astronomy tower tonight before going to sleep. She just wanted to get her mind off of certain events and a certain guy. She didn't get why she liked him. He ad a temper, he threatened her, there was no future for them. But she did, she liked him. She sighed loudly and gazzed up a the sky. Maybe she just needed to forget about him. He probably wasn't even thinking about her at all.
She heard foot steps behind her. "Is anyone there?" She asked snapping out of her thoughts.

Katarzyna had been wandering for an hour or so around Hogwarts when she came to the stairs leading up to the Astronomy Tower. She liked to take a few nights out of the school week to just walk around, blow off some steam - which she always seemed to have. It was also good excersize, what with all the stairs and all. And Katarzyna was obsessed with that sort of stuff- atleast she could admit she had a eating problem unlike some other girls.
Kat walked up the steep stone steps, two at a time and tied her long hair up into a knotty ponytail by the time she reached the top. Then someone called out.
"Why is this your tower?" she asked sarcastically, smirking ever so slightly. She wasn't in a pleasant mood at the moment, just from all the stress piling up from OWLs most likely.
Kat stepped out of the shadows, and saw the girl was a Gryffindor. Sure, she didn't really follow the whole House rivalry thing but still. Gryffindor...

Davina sighed and looked up at the girl apologetically. "I'm sorry, I guess I'm just a little jumpy." She said with a shrug. She had enough on her mind at the moment everything seemed to catch her off guard. She peered at the girl and noticed she was in slytherin. Everyone she met seemed to be in that house.
She smiled widely and stood up and extended her hand towards her. "I'm Davina." She said enthusiastically.

Kat may be in Slytherin for certain reasons, but she wasn't a total bitch. She took Davina's hand and introduced herself. "Katarzyna... But some call me Kat - easier to pronounce. So what brings you to the tower?"
Kat looked closer at the girl infront of her. The two of them looked a little alike in fact, same hair. Same smile. Weird. Kat got glimpse of the window behind Davina and saw the stars glimmering in the black night. She loved night. Darkness. It always seemed more appealing than the sun, where nothing could be hidden. And Kat had a lot to hide sometimes.

Davina was glad she wasn't some rude person. There were a lot of those around her, an nothing annoyed her more than someone who didn't have manners. "Well I just needed to clear m mind about a few things." She said truthfully. She hated thinking about things that were too serious and made her anything less than happy.
"What about you?" She asked looking at at her. She was a very pretty girl and didn't seem mean or anything.
Katarzyna Warswik - July 21, 2008 02:46 AM (GMT)
"Oh, I come up here sometimes. I like the night," she said, softly, still looking at the stars. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and turned back to the Gryffindor. "But I s'pose it's cause I have a lot of s**t on my mind, too.. A lot," she said, muttering the last part.
And it was true. Her eating disorder. Her home life - or lack thereof. "I've paid more attention to the sky on my own time than actually in that Astronomy class. DUmb stuff in my opinion. Can be entertaining at times... but some of it's crap. I've never had a prediction come true."
Davina Ashford - July 22, 2008 02:56 PM (GMT)
Davina agreed. She never really enjoyed astronomy class but she loved looking at the stars. Coming up here really helped her not think about things that were bothering her. She would just get lost in the sky and she loved it, especially when she was upset. "Hooray for having dumb stuff on the mind." She said in a slight sarcastic tone, with a soft smile and light shrug.
