Title: Catching some rays [Katarzyna]

Finneas Griffin - July 21, 2008 10:11 PM (GMT)
The sun shone magnificently in the clear blue sky as Finneas made his way across the grounds. He was clad in jeans and a t-shirt, his green eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses. He was in one of those moods of his, where he just wanted to be alone. He wasn't having the best of days, and was seeking an isolated location to be alone with his thoughts; the lake would be perfect.

There were a couple of other students by the water, but Finn found a secluded little spot and sat in the grass. He kicked off his shoes and pulled his shirt off over his head. Finn layed back in the grass and closed his eyes, trying to block out the bad thoughts that possess his mind when his mood changes for the worst.

Katarzyna Warswik - July 22, 2008 03:35 AM (GMT)
Katarzyna Warswik walked through the green grounds of Hogwarts in her black sandle wedges. She was alone this time, as she found her way towards the lake. Just the other day she'd been cheery and her on again off again struggle with 'popularity' was going quite well. It's funny how one day, all the Slytherin girl are talking to her, and the next she's the Queen Bitch.

Kat hooked her thumbs into the front pocket of her dark red skinny jeans after she untied her wild brunette mane to let it flow freely in the breeze. Kat gazed over the lake to find a familiar face, or perhaps a Hufflepuff to torment. She spotted a boy laying down in the grass, with no shirt and his eyes closed.

She walked a little closer, but not for the student, for the water. She loved the lake, though it was too cold to go swimming in the water at te moment.

Oh.
Griffin...

Katarzyna knew of him. he was in Ravenclaw though and as far as she knew a sixth or seventh year. Yes, he was talked about for having a temper some of the time - but then again so was she. She was the girl people weren't sure they could trust. Best friend. Enemy. It was all the same to the Polish girl.

"What, are you tanning?" she said smirking as she stood over him, the wind blwing her hair in her face. "Boys tanning look... well silly."

She smirked and laughed softly under her breath. She was just playing around, and she believed that he would too. but that was jjust based on what she'd heard about him. Others always took kat so seriously..

Finneas Griffin - July 22, 2008 06:24 AM (GMT)
Finn had heard the patter of feet nearby over the constant buzz of the other kid's laughter and screeching, so when someone's voice sounded next to him, he was not startled. He kept his eyes shut behind his dark sunglasses and tried to put a face to the voice. He couldn't do it.

"Actually, I was aiming for a bit of alone time. The sun felt good and I figured, why not show off my fabulous bod?"

He did not let that little smirk creep onto his face. He pushed himself onto his elbows and removed the sunglasses, finally getting to see who he was speaking to. Ahh, that Katarzyna girl. He didn't know much about her, but he has seen her around, always surrounded by pompous little girls donned with Slytherin emblems.

Finn raised eyebrows and looked up at her. "And I know you can't object to this."

Katarzyna Warswik - July 22, 2008 01:35 PM (GMT)
Kat rolled her intimadating eyes towards the Ravenclaw, and placed her delicately small hands on her waist. "Psh, fabulous bod? My ass..."

Katarzyna couldn't help but laugh to herself under her breath just a little. She stood still, she wasn't going any where. She found someone she could easily - or so she thought - get under their skin, annoy, and get a little eye candy while going at it. She wasn't going to lie to herself... He sure wasn't fugly.

"Well someone's a little full of themselves, don't you think, Griffin?" she spoke sharply looking down at Finneas. "I don't think I can see what you have to be so confident about in yourself. I mean, you are a Ravenclaw. I guess you might be a little smart, but what else you got?" she teased.

Katarzyna didn't really believe in the house rivalries thing, but they were entertaining every now and then.

Finneas Griffin - July 22, 2008 02:11 PM (GMT)
Finn knew exactly how these bullys worked. He had plenty of experience before and wasn't new to the game. He knew that she was baiting him, she wanted him to react. She wanted to get a kick out of watching him get upset. It was hard not to bite the bait in a state of mind like his. He recalled a time when another boy was picking on him and he blacked out in a fit of rage only to come out of it later and find out he did severe damage to the kid's face. Girl or not, if she pushed him to that level he is powerless against his disorder.

"Full of myself, no. I just don't lack confidence like you or your other housemates and need to make myself feel better by harassing others." Finn sat up now, feeling a little powerless laying on the ground under this girl. "Anyway, I don't like to talk about myself so you'd have to find out 'what else I got' on your own."

Katarzyna Warswik - July 22, 2008 02:28 PM (GMT)
Katarzyna's mouth opened slightly, and she bit her lip. She wasn't expecting exactly that response from the ravenclaw. Instead of provoking him more - just yet - she stated:

"Well, oddly enough, that's one thing we have in common. I absolutly loathe talking about myself... Wouldn't expect that from a Slythrin, eh?" she said, examining her finger nails, painted a blood red to mathc her jeans.

The ground under neath her feet was lumpy and uneven, what with the over grown grass. Wedges, especially the ones she was presently courting around, were no such fashion to be wearing on terrain like this. Kat felt very unbalanced, as if she could fall over any minute, so she too sat down with her long legs in front of her. Next to the cute Ravenclaw, who she so easily could anger.

katarzyna did not know of his disorder. If she did she would stop provoking an argument. But it was another one of 'those days' for Kat. Another day wehre her best friends couldn't even tolerate her very much. Another day where Kat, was on edge.

"Oh, well, I wouldn't say harassing others makes me feel better actually. It just makes the sense of boredom disseaper.... And if I
m to find out more about who you are on my own, I spose you'll be seeing a whole lot of me around."

Kat brushed her hair off her shoulder as a breeze came by the two of them. She was smirking, as usual.

Finneas Griffin - July 22, 2008 02:55 PM (GMT)
Finn was shocked when she sat next to him in the grass. It takes a lot for him to be surprised, but that did the trick. "Don't lie. You're a girl. it's in your nature to talk about yourself." He was serious, but his voice held a teasing tone.

He was aware of his situation and how weird it was to him. One of the much feared and hated Slytherins was sitting next to him of their own accord on a beautiful sunny day by the lake. He shook his head, his hair falling into his green eyes. Pushing a hand through his hair, he looked around at the other students around the grounds.

"So, what if one of your housemates sees you hanging around a Ravenclaw? Wouldn't that wreck your reputation or something?"

Katarzyna Warswik - July 22, 2008 03:24 PM (GMT)
"Well, this just proves that you know nothing about me, either. My housemates know I have friends in all houses - even blimey Hufflepuff... Im not gonna lie- but I really dont like them for some reason. But anywhoo. My housemates know I think the whole house rivalry thing is retarded... Entertaining at time? Yes, very.. Stupid all the time? Yes," she said, finishing off that topic. She knew it was weird for a Slytherin to say that but they are other boys and girls like her in the house os Salazar Slytherin.

Just because you wear Slytherin's robes doesn't mean you have the right to be a bitch. All the time, atleast.

"And you're right I guess... it is in a girl's nature to talk about themselves. But that would mean me sitting here longing. And I highly doubt you'd want that," she said, with her east european Polish accent. "Unless... Do you? I thought you wanted quote un quote, alone time."

[ooc: Sorry it took so long, my internets been down =[ ]

"Well, we just met, genious. Why would I know anything about you?" Finn looked at Kat with a curious expression. "But that's nice of you to befriend the Hufflepuffs, even if you don't like them." His voice dripped with sarcasm and he turned his eyes to the lake. He didn't mean to be offensive, it just happens sometimes during mood swings.

"If you want to talk to me, I'll listen. That's just the kind of person I am." He stood up and took a few steps towards the water. "But I'm going for a swim, if you care to join me."

He half hoped that she would follow. He would feel awkward if she just watched from the shore, and he would end up getting angry because she made him feel weird. That might not be so pretty.

Katarzyna Warswik - July 26, 2008 09:55 PM (GMT)
Katarzyna blushed slightly and laughed under her breath as he stood up and headed towards the lake. She didn't want him to see her blushing, and she tossed her hair infront of her cheeks, still looking down at her legs.

"Well, perhaps that's just a tad easier for you to do. All you have to do is.. take off your shirt," she said rolling her intense eyes. "And it looks like you've already accomplished that feat, Griffin."

If he honestly expected her to just go swimming with him, to take of her top and jeans, well... She didn't know. Sometimes she was that girl, other times a little more reserved.

Finneas Griffin - July 27, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
Finn shrugged his broad shoulders as he examined a tattoo on his abdomen. He ran his fingers over the ink and turned to face Kat. "I'm aware, love." He flashed her a grin and took a few steps backwards towards the water.

"C'mon. You're wearing underwear, or whatever. Even if you're not, being in the nude is the most natural thing." He winked a green eyes and turned his back on here and began wading into the cool water. His jeans felt heavy in the water, but he didn't care. He stopped when the water reached his waist and turned, waiting for Katarzyna's decision.

Katarzyna Warswik - July 27, 2008 08:05 PM (GMT)
Katarzyna lips parted slightly and she cocked her head to the side. She stood up as he turned around again and a voice in the back of her mind just told her to go for it - forgetting about how self concious she always was about her body. Kat pulled of her loose shirt and tossed it to the ground, revealing a long scar right above her rib cage.

She tied up her long hair into a messy ponytail before undoing her red jeans. She deffinetly wasn't about to go nude, so her lacy underwear would have to do. Kat noticed his tattoo and glanced quickly down at her own that was in somewhat the same area, her's on her hipbone. She also had one on her shoulder blade.

Katarzyna walked towards the lake, following Finn. She felt a little concious of her body, as she usually did. She hoped he couldn't tell. People always told Kat that she came off very confident. Of course they didn't know she had an eating disorder.

"Nice ink, there," she said smirking as she stepped into the water and felt a chill go up her spine from the water. Kat cupped water in her hand and poured it on her head, cooling off. WIthout even thinking she took another handful and threw it at Finn's face, splashing him and laughing.

Finneas Griffin - July 31, 2008 06:13 PM (GMT)
When she began to strip, Finn turned again so she didn't feel uncomfortable. He went a bit deeper until he was treading water. Whe he heard Kat splashing around, he knew it was ok for him to look. He watched the water drip down her body and smiled to himself. That smile, however, faded quickly when he was hit in the face with the cold water.

He blinked the droplettes from his eyes as his anger boiiled. He couldn't stop it, and he couldn't prevent it from happening. He began to furiously swim in the opposite direction of Katarzyna. He didn't want to be angry and he didn't want his little problem to show, but there was a fire in his brain that he couldn't extinguish. He stopped for a moment and looked back at the girl he left by the shore. All he wanted was to be liked, accepted; but he felt like there was a curtain between him and the rest of the world, preventing that.

All of a sudden, his anger vanished. A wave of sadness swept over him in it's place. Tears of self-pity began to fill his eyes and spill over onto his cheeks as he stared at Katarzyna. Lucky for him, he was far enough away so the tears were unrecognizable. He couldn't do anything to stop them but just let go and cry. As he tread water, he sobbed silently. It was all he could do until it passed. He hoped with all his heart that she wouldn't follow him. At least until his episode was over.

oOc: sorry its been so long!! been terribly busy

Kat's playful smile was wiped off her face as Finn started treading away from her. Had she done something wrong? She called after him and once he didn't respond she knew something was wrong.

Katarzyna wanted to go after him, ask him what was going wrong but was that appropriate? "Finn? Finn - you alright?" she said softly, she couldn't see his face so Kat didn't know he was crying.

She was now right behind him. Kat brought her hand to his shoulder, and asked once more. "Did... I do something?"

Katarzyna cringed slightly, she didn't know quite what to do. Sure, she'd heard from other students that Finneas sometimes acted this way. His emotions changing quickly, but she also knew what that was like. On a certain level, Kat could relate... at least somewhat.
