Davina looked around until she found the section she was looking for. She decided to brush up on her potions. She wanted to make sure she kept her grades up in that class she was doing well in. She picked up about 6 books and tried to begin walking towards an empty table. She could already tell she was begining to loose her balance but of course her being stubborn she didn't stop.

"Darn clumsiness." She mumbled. She got her foot caught under a piece of rug and lightly tripped. Not one of her usual face plants but still, she sent her books flying having the majority landing directly in front of a boy a few feet in front her. She blushed bright red and looked down. She hated how clumsy she was.

"Oh I'm sorry." She said looking up when her blushing subsided.

Xander stood up and stretched. He had been studying for a good two and a half hours now, and was getting more than just slightly bored with it all. He need to fetch another book from the charms section. Just as he turned around, he was greeted with the sight of a fellow classmate tripping and spilling all of her books onto the floor. Xander looked down at the blushing girl and waved off her apology. He held out a hand to her and said, "No worries. Here, let me help you up."

Davina smiled. She looked up and noticed he was a fellow housemate. She had seen him around. Also it was great to see he was nice. "Oh, thank you." She said picking up a few books.

"Sorry though, I am extremely clumsy." She said with a small chuckle. "I'm Davina by the way." She wasn't sure if he had seen her around. She wasn't always out an about. She was normally in the common room or at the quidditch pitch. Just recently she was coming to the library more often.

Xander helped her to her feet after she had gathered her books. She had introduced herself as Davina. He took her hand and shoook it, saying, "My names Xander. Nice to meet you. And don't worry, everyone has their clumsy moments. Just the other day, I fell down a whole flight stairs, because I was trying to take them down two at a time."

"Nicce to meet you Xander." She said smiling at him. She laughed slightly when he mentioned he fell down the stairs. "Ah well you see you had one incident I am pretty much an entire clumsy person central." She laughed slightly at herself. "I do more than one clumsy thing a day." She said with a shrug but still smiled.

"Ah I hope you didn't hurt yourself though falling down those stairs." She added giving him a sympathetic face,

"Well, lets hope that you try to start cutting back on that," he laughed as he said it. "Maybe you could try carrying less books at once?" he suggested. "Then, once you could handle a light load, we can slowly increase your load, and soon you will be the book carrying champion of Hogwarts!" he exclaimed, as he threw his arms in the air and did a little victory dance.

Davina laughed. He was quite funny, and she really needed a laugh these days. "Oh you see but there's a problem with your brilliant plan." She said smiling. "See an average non clumsy person could walk back and forth six times, but I would definitely fall atleast three times." She smiled widely with a small laugh.

Xander was laughing, still continueing his victory dance as Davina was speaking. "Well, I do have a very busy schedule, but I suppose I could spare some free time with walking lessons for you," he replied cheekily.

Davina smiled at him. "Oh walking lessons?" She said rubbing her chin slightly as though she was thinking about it. "Well that sounds great. I should learn how to walk its always been on my to do list." She joked. "And thank you for thinking you could fit that into your oh so busy schedual." She smiled. She loved joking around and it seemed like he did too.

He smiled at her response, liking that she understood his humor when so many other people took it as sarcasm or being just plain mean, when in reality it is all playful banter. "Really? Whatever stopped you before? I could fit you in on Saturday if you really wanted to start," he said. He reached back onto the table and pulled up his daily planner and a quill, ready to write it down.

Davina smiled. "Well noone ever offered before." She sai with a shrug. "Noone wants to help a clumsy hopeless cause." She said pretending to frown. "Wow saturday sounds great, can't wait to learn how to walk without feeling the floor against my face." She said smiling.

"You know you are pretty funny." She said knudging him slightly.

"Well, I can't see why no one would offer. You obviously need them." he chuckled to himself. "Yes, I'm a riot, am I not? I always try to be funny. What's life without humor but a boring existence, doomed to repeat the same daily routine?" he asked. "This way, things get spiced up a bit." he knudged her back, with a wink.

Davina smiled. "Ah yes that's true. Life wouldn't be fun without a little humor." She agreed. "Well besides bein one of the funniest people in this school, what are you like?" She asked almost completely forgetting about her stufying. She could always bring the books back with her to the common room and study later. She always couldn't sleep at night anyway, she could study tonight instead of wandering the halls.

Xander was almost caught completely off guard at the sudden change in topic. He set his book and quill back on the table and thought about what he was going to say. "Well, I guess the most obvious thing that I like is Quidditch. I am the seeker for Gryffindor you know?" he asked. "Aside from all of that, there are a lot of muggle things that I enjoy such as television, football, and computers, being muggleborn that is." he answered. "What about you? Besides falling face first into the ground, what do you like to do?" he asked her, a smile gleaming in his eyes.

Davina nodded when he said he was the seeker. "Ah so that's where I must have seen you before Knew you looked familiar." She said smiling. "I'm muggle born too so I get what you mean I like all those things too." She added with a slight. Not many people understood her when she would talk about things of the muggle world.

"I didn't know there was anything besides falling." She said jokingly. "Well I love flying aroud, although not so smart for my clumsy self. I almost hate when I have to go home. Living in a muggle neighborhood doesn't really do me too well when I want to fly." She shrugged. Although she loved living in a muggle neighborhood. She had her friends and muggle things she couldn't imagine life without.

"Oh but, when I'm here my favorite thing to do is go up to the astronomy tower. I could sit there for hours at night just looking up at the sky." She said smiling. She loved doing that at night when she couldn't sleep.
