Title: Detention
Description: Mona and Solana

Kirsten Forsyth - July 28, 2008 01:28 PM (GMT)
Professor Forsyth sat down in her chair, she had something prepared for Mona and Solana, but it was probably too easy. She waited patiently for them to arrive.

Mona Woods - July 29, 2008 12:19 PM (GMT)
"Hello, professor." Mona said as she came in to detention.
She placed her bag on a chair nearby and looked at Professor Forsyth. Today better not be a 'painting-a-desk-pink' day.

Kirsten Forsyth - August 3, 2008 04:24 AM (GMT)
"Yes, hello Mona." she said, lazily. Today was definitely not her day. "Get out your quill and started writing. I will hand in assigned homework in time. 100 times. Then you can do your homework. Yes, in here. Even if it takes you all night."
She was frustrated today and didn't want to yell, but it had been such a horrible day that she just had to.

Mona Woods - August 3, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
Mona looked at her. There was something bothering her, but nevertheless, Mona said nothing and got out her quill, dipped it in ink and started scribbling.

Mona's hands were sore after this. But, she said nothing, instead she handed it in and got out her quill again. It was half past nine. The joys of being in a boarding school, she thought ruefully.

Professor Forsyth was still annoyed that Solana chose not to come. But then, Mona handed her lines sheet and she examined it. It was all good.
She nodded at her.

Arithmancy is a way of fortune telling through number. It tells us a person's personailty. There are three types of numbers in Arithmancy. The character number, the heart number and the social number.
The character number is the reduced number of all the letters.
The heart number is the reduced number of vowels.
The social number is the reduced amount of consonants.

CODE

K I R S T E N   F O R S Y T H
2 9 9 1 2 5 5   6 6 9 1 7 2 8

In this case, the character number is 72. It can be reduced to 9. (7+2=9).

She half-smiled when Mona handed her homework in. It was longer that most.
"Now that's more like it." she said. "Nice work. Go back to your common room and you don't want to hand in homework late ever again."
Professor Forsyth ushered Mona out of her room and locked it. She said a small goodbye and rushed off.

Solana Lilly - August 4, 2008 12:07 AM (GMT)
Solana stormed down the hallway, seething with rage. She didn't know why she had signed up for this ridiculous class in the first place, she was never good with numbers,

And a T! She couldn't believe it! Her grades were always good, she had never had a T in anything!

She hadn't bothered putting on her school robes. being that she didn't even attend the class she hadn't known she had detention until another student had told her, five minutes ago.

She was wearing a pair of olive green short-shorts, with a white ribbed tank and white flip flops. Her long hair was pulled back in a hight ponytail. Her wand stuck out of her back pocket.

She reached Professor Forsyth's office and pushed the door open, then strode into the room, banging it loudly behind her.

Kirsten Forsyth - August 4, 2008 12:36 PM (GMT)
OOC: I'll pretend I'm still in the office.

"Yes, Miss Lilly?" she asked. "What's wrong?"
Professor Forsyth looked concerned, but didn't say anything else and waited for Solana to speak.

Solana Lilly - August 4, 2008 02:49 PM (GMT)
What's wrong? thought Solana, What's wrong?!!![B] She had a T in a class, that's what was wrong. She couldn't trust herself to speak without loosing it, so she took a deep breath.

"I'm here to drop your class," she stated in a voice of forced calm.

Mona Woods - August 5, 2008 09:27 AM (GMT)
Mona widened her eyes as she saw a girl leap pass her and banging the door open. She whispered a good luck to Professor Forsyth and hoped she dealed with that girl better than she did with her. The hufflepuff seemed angry.
Mona rushed to the Ravenclaw Tower, quicker than she ever imagined, whispered the password and went in.

Kirsten Forsyth - August 5, 2008 09:30 AM (GMT)
Professor Forsyth sighed. She had been expecting that. She crossed out her name on her student list and turned back to her.
"Done." she said, simply. "You know, you should attend class regularly and provide reason if you don't. You should expect detentions when you don't do these things."
She smiled at her.
"Off you go now before I change my mind." she said, turning back to her strict ways.
