Title: Detention
Description: [All Detention Students]
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 01:07 AM (GMT)
Aria sat behind her desk, at five minutes to seven, waiting for the students who had failed to hand in their homework to show up. She wasn't going to give such an easy detention as last time, and hopefully this time they would learn to turn in assignments when they were do.
She closed her eyes and leaned back in her chair. One of the students was the mud-blood she had tortured by the lake. This was going to be interesting.
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 01:26 AM (GMT)
John walked in, he had thought about talking to the professor about it, he had been in the hospital wing and couldn't get to class, but he decided to bag it, she wouldn't listen to him anyway. He sighed and took a seat.
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 01:30 AM (GMT)
"Well," said Aria when the student walked in. "Let's begin while we wait to see if your classmates arrive. You'll start by writing out the homework you missed," she said, indicating the quills and parchment on her desk. "You will not recieve a grade for it," she added.
She looked him up and down. "Why dd you fail to turn in your homework, when you had attended the previous class and were aware of it?" she asked.
Then thought to herself, 'It'd going to be a long, interesting night.'
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 01:50 AM (GMT)
He grabbed a quill and parchment from her desk and sat back down. "I wasn't there for the last class, so I didn't know about it, I still don't even know what you want me to write about." He said, trying hard not to let the irritation come out in his words but was doing a rather poor job at containing it.
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 07:37 AM (GMT)
Aria raised an eyebrow at his tone, then said, "You are to write a paragraph on what you know about the First War. You did not have a note to excuse you so this is your own fault.
Once your done I have something else for you to do," she said softly, smirking at him.
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 02:18 PM (GMT)
John grumbled something under his breath and started his paragraph, thinking back to previous lessons about the same thing, and started writing. It wasn't the best but it was decent, he didn't feel like putting any extra effort into something he wasn't getting a grade for. When he was done he got up and handed it to her.
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 02:28 PM (GMT)
Aria quickly read it. "Useless," she said, crumpling it into a ball and tossing it into the fireplace. "But I shouldn't have expected much from you," she said.
"And now, another task for you," She said. "See those vials?" she said, pointing to the ones in a cabinet. "Those are poisons that I enjoy collecting, some very rare. Sort them alphabtically." She reclined in her chair.
"And John," she said softly, causing him to look back at her, "I dare you to drop one," she finished, her eyes dancing with a sinister light.
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 02:38 PM (GMT)
John got to work sorting them, he wanted to throw one to the floor just to see what she'd do, but he knew better. No matter how much he couldn't stand her he couldn't do something that stupid. "You dare me?" he asked trying hard not to let his temper get the better of him. "what would you do to me?" he asked
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 02:54 PM (GMT)
"Oh Johnathan," she said, in a soft, dangerous voice. "You cannot begin to imagine. But why don't you drop one and find out?" she asked. "I see you want to. Or are you scared?" she goaded him.
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 03:01 PM (GMT)
John held the vial in his hand tightly seriously debating on throwing it. "You're part of the Neo death Eaters aren't you?" he asked, he had heard other people say she was and her personality seemed to fit the bill, he just wanted to hear it for himself from her lips.
Eden Kaelyn - August 22, 2008 03:11 PM (GMT)
"Excuse me?" said Aria, raising an eyebrow. Too herself she thought, 'Yea because I'd seriously admit it to you'.
"That is a serious accusation to make without proof, Mr. Lawson," she stated slowly. "Now tell me, where is your proof to back up this accusation?"
OOC: [Darn I forgot to switch, it looks scarier somehow with Aria's pic.
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 03:19 PM (GMT)
"It's been buzzing around the school for a while, you're personality is pretty sterotypical for one, and you aren't the only one I serve detention with. I've seen a woman walking from you office who pretty much flaunts the fact that she is. " He said talking about Allison, he knew she was, she had killed the last of his family.
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 03:26 PM (GMT)
'Oops,' thought Aria. 'Allison should have been more careful with that one'
"Your points prove nothing Lawson," she told him, "Except you seem to have to much spare time on your hands to be stalking me. Perhaps you'd like me to suggest something you can do during that time?"
"Also," she continued, "This isn't a social call, it's detention, so get back to work. But before you do, please, do tell me what is wrong with my personality?" She reclined in her chair, curious to see how he would answer.
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 03:38 PM (GMT)
"I don't stalk you! Your office is just on the way to other places, I just see some things on my way to do things that I am doing" He said turning back around to the vials. "You pretty much have the personality of a p****d off cat."
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 03:54 PM (GMT)
Aria's demeanor darkned immediatly. "A p*ssed off cat huh?" she said, sliding her hand into her pocket, feeling the thin shaft of her wand, her hand itching to turn it on him.
"If I were you, Johnny, I'd be very careful as to what you say. And I'd get back to what you're supposed to be doing. Before you regret it."
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 04:00 PM (GMT)
"Yeah what ever. You wouldn't do anything anyway." he said going back to the poisons, not in the 'G's. "So why do you collect poisons anyway? You obviously can't use them on other people in the school, so why bother with them?" he asked.
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 04:06 PM (GMT)
Aria took a deep breath. "I collect poisons because I like poisons. I find them interesting." She all but bit the sentence out.
"And who says I haven't used them?" she said, smirking. "Oh that's right," she added on, "You would know, seeing as you've taken to spying on me."
She wondered if he remembered anything that had happened by the lake.
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 04:14 PM (GMT)
"I guess you could have, but it could, but wouldn't people suspect you if you were to poison someone?" he asked, not sure why he kept talking to her, they obviously were both at the end of their patience with each other and he usually kept quiet, not finding much to talk about but he found her interesting in an odd -i- should-really-be-avoiding-you-at-all-costs sort of way.
Aria Casanov - August 22, 2008 04:17 PM (GMT)
"Who's is too know if I had?" asked Aria. "Unless I'm being spied on by more than one person," which she knew was true, she had at least three on her she suspected.
"But I would never do something so evil," said Aria softly, smiling what would have been a reassuring smile had her eyes not been so cold and distant.
Johnathan Lawson - August 22, 2008 04:24 PM (GMT)
He shrugged, "I don't know, it was just an observation." He said, looking at two labels before deciding what one should go first. "Well I guess that's a good thing. It would be a shame to have to find a new professor now that schools already started."
Aria Casanov - August 23, 2008 03:00 PM (GMT)
Aria didn't like the fact that she was having a conversation with a mud-blood; one who had detention at that. She stood up and walked up behind him, studying the cabinet to make sure he was doing his task properly.
"I wouldn't take all night with this," she said from behind him. "You have a long detention ahead of you," she said, smirking.
Melanie Carter - August 24, 2008 08:52 PM (GMT)
"Sorry professer. If I'm late for detention. What do you want me to do?" Melanie looked upto Aria slightly afraid of what she saw in her faced. She was only second year afterall. She was rather scared of Aria and her lessons. She was afraid of this detention.
Aria Casanov - August 25, 2008 01:50 AM (GMT)
"Sit," said Aria. "And yes, you are late. You will begin by completing the homework assignment you failed to hand in; but you will not recieve a grade, because it is late."
She paused and thought, "I'll see what you do next after you're done." This student was a Slytherin, not like the mud-blood. She'd make her detention different.
Melanie Carter - August 25, 2008 07:41 AM (GMT)
Melanie began writing on her parchment, glad of something to do other than waiting for a feared response. Her schoolwork and attendance and mostly grades had been plummeting since her cousins arrived at the school. She had a sudden brainwave, her oldest cousin was a teacher, it might make her detention quicker if the teacher knew and liked Ricky.
"Umm, Professer. I think you know my cousin, Professer Ladder?" She hoped to god this wasn't the professer Ricky talked about dueling with.

[OOC: ^_^ lol]
IC:
Aria watched the young girl write and was suprised when she asked her a question.
"Ladder?" she said. "He's your cousin." god, she hated that man. Perhaps she'd take it out on his cousin, she thought, smiling, "Yes I know him," she said, "Why?"
