Title: Astronomy Tower Tiff...well...yeah
Description: Gevevieve Rasmuse

Brooklyn Rae - August 22, 2008 02:06 PM (GMT)
Brooklyn walked in to Professor Rasmuse's office and looked around she saw no one in the room. There were things, objects everywhere else. Brooklyn was automatically drawn to a little globe-like object on her desk, so she walked toward it, and stuck her hand out to touch it, but was stopped by the turning of the door handle.

She looked to see who it was, hoping it would be the Professor.

Lucinda entered the room, seeing a pupil already there, she stood at the girl, whom she had never met before, and studied, her.

Respectable, she thought, and loyal, she stared at the girls eyes and suddenly, snapped out of her gaze.

"Yes?" She asked the girl.

Brooklyn Rae - September 16, 2008 09:44 PM (GMT)
Brooklyn snapped out of her trance, looking at the Professor.

"Well, I just wanted to tell you about something that happened recently...in the Astronomy Tower..." she started. She seemed unimpressed.

"Carly Butank, a Slytherin, attacked me...shot a spell at me, I didn't even do anything to provoke her..." she ended. She waited for a response.
Brooklyn resisted the urge to tell the professor about the duel in the hallway, eventhough she had been hit with a crucio.

Lucinda felt challenged, she knew that first impressions were crucial, so she thought hard.

"Are you sure that you did nothing to provoke her? And what kind of spell?" Lucinda felt sorry for this girl, if what she said was true, Lucinda would get to the bottom of the situation.

Lucinda waited anxiously, for an answer, of what exactly happened.

Brooklyn Rae - September 17, 2008 04:40 PM (GMT)
Brooklyn nodded. "I'm, 99.9999% positive I didn't do anyhting. Carly was staring at me and another student, Calum, while we were talking and I asked her what she was looking at, and she responded with,
'Excuse me, but i'm just listening to a few people talk. Now, if you have such a problem with this, i can make it so i'm looking at nothing.' And then she pulled out her wand.

And she hit me with a spell that made me fall forward, almsot down the stairs. It basically, it propelled my body..." she tried to explain to the New Head of House. And she did hit me with another curse the other day...not such a great one, either... she thought. She would feel like a tattle tail if she mentioned the duel, but part of her wanted Carly expelled, the other part, however, didn't want to endanger Cedric, or Fox (who had been very nice to her recently, dealing with her father and all).

"Oh, I'm Brooklyn, by the way. Brooklyn Rae. 6th year. Nice to meet you." she stuck out her hand for Mrs. Beatty to shake.

Lucinda Beatty - September 17, 2008 04:58 PM (GMT)
Lucinda pulled her hand forward and shook Brooklyn's hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Professor Beatty," Lucinda shaked a while longer, and then realized, what had happened. A Gryffindor girl, Brooklyn to be precise, was talking to another pupil, and then, this girl, Carly, saw them talking, and was watching them, Brooklyn asked why, and she responded with a spell.

"I will need to have the full names of any students who witnessed this spell, and the full name of Carly, as well as their year and house." Lucinda thought of something else to add, "I will have to talk to the Healer, too see if you went there, or if she knows anything. And, Brookyln, may I add, that, serious consequences will come of this, so I trust your telling me everything...." Lucinda stared at the girl waiting for a response, realizing she was hurt emotionally.

"Also, house points will be deducted. So, please, tell me everything.... if there is anymore..." Lucinda finished and started collecting some papers from her desk, reluctant that she would get a answer.

Brooklyn Rae - September 17, 2008 10:36 PM (GMT)

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Beatty." Brooklyn said with a smile.

"I will need to have the full names of any students who witnessed this spell, and the full name of Carly, as well as their year and house."

Brooklyn swallowed. "Carly Butank. Slytherin, 6th year. And Calum Ferguson, Ravenclaw, 3rd year. Just to tell you, Calum wasn't doing anything, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time..." she didn't want Calum to get in any trouble.

I trust your telling me everything....

Brooklyn's eyes hit the floor. If Mrs. Beatty talked to the healer, she would undoubtedly tell her about the Crucio, and the rest of the duel. She had to tell her first.
"Well..." she started, "it's a long story..." she said, looking to the professor, almost as if asking if she could continue.
"Three days ago, I was walking with my friend, Cedric Goldragon, from my house, and he was upset becasue his girlfriend, who happens to be Carly, cheated on him with Fox Canning, from Slytherin...he was upset, and he was just clearing his head, when we stumbled upon a large group of Slytherin's...Carly sort of, approached me, and pinned me against the wall...." she was spilling everything. Carly would kill her for this. "I just tried to tell her that I wasn't going to fight her. I didn't even have my wand out, Mrs. Beatty..." she explained. "And, then, Zackery Firefeather, a 4th year, pushed Carly off of me. She sent his wand flying and she hit me with... a Crucio..." she ended, softly. She knew that she had just spilled everything. She would have to deal with the repercussions. "And, Mrs. Beatty..." she added, "Carly said she was going to kill me the next time I crossed her."

Lucinda Beatty - September 17, 2008 10:47 PM (GMT)
"No Brooklyn, no you wont get killed by Carly Butank, she, on the other hand, has lost Slytherin 30 House Points, if its true, and the matter will be taken to the Head. " Lucinda said, feeling it necessary for him to know.

"But Carly, I will be arranging a meeting in my office, next week. I want everyone's opinions. But, I am proud that you admitted to your wrong doing, gaining your house, 5 points." Lucinda thought for a moment. "Why, did she hit you exactly? You didn't by any chance, tell Cedric? It was the right thing to do, if so. But, there must be some reason, that, she, did something as powerful as Crucio...." Lucinda trailed off, hoping to hear more.

Brooklyn Rae - September 17, 2008 10:51 PM (GMT)
She furrowed her brow at Mrs. Beatty. She didn't know Carly Butank, at all. "I promise you, it's true." she said softly. She was in for it.

"Why, did she hit you exactly? You didn't by any chance, tell Cedric?

She nodded. "I saw Carly and Fox, and they were on top of eachother in the lake, Mrs. Beatty...he's one of my best friends, I--I had to tell him." she said shaking her head. I can not believe I just told her this. she thought, covering her eyes with her right hand.

Lucinda Beatty - September 17, 2008 10:59 PM (GMT)
"Dont worry.... it wasn't that long ago I was your age, I wont tell the Head, if you don't want me too, im fully aware what Carly Butanks is like, and I can assure you, you ARE protectec." Lucinda said, trying to comfort the poor girl.

Lucinda thought harder, and ran some fingers through her curled hair, maybe, just maybe, Carly Butanks needs to join HAPPY...... maybe not. Anyway, Lucinda racked her brains, and spoke softly to Brooklyn, "I will help you.... no matter how hard it is.... but I need you to trust me.. what do you want me to do and what do you not want me to do?"

Brooklyn Rae - September 18, 2008 12:49 AM (GMT)
Brooklyn smiled at Mrs. Beatty. She was being so nice. Easily one of her favorite new teachers on campus, now.

What do you want me to do and what do you not want me to do?

“I trust you…” she started. “I just don’t want to get Fox and Cedric in trouble…or Zackery” she added. Zackery was very important to her these days, as were Fox and Cedric, but he was more to her than they were. “I just, want everyone but her to stay out of trouble…”she said softly. “You can tell the Head, too, if you find it fit. I’m just worried about what Carly will do, even though you say she won’t be able to get to me…” her voice trailed off as she began to think of the possibilities. About how, even in the castle, she might not be safe.
