It was late, the sun had set a while ago, making it dark, perfect for sneaking around. He had been trying to do this since he had first met Aria. He had been over once, and had followed her a few time, trying to figure out how tight the security was. He knew about the Dragon, there was no problem there, and the trolls, He just had to figure what spells she had put up. He had been there since this afternoon and had now just given up, he was just going to wing it. He ran onto her property, knowing full well that she probably knew by now that someone was running around and began to run to the actual castle, trying to find a way in.

Aria was up in the library when one of her perimeter alarms went off. They usually went off at least five times a day, with animals crossing onto her property, But something felt wrong about today.She decided to follow her gut feeling and go check it out.

She stood up, brushing her blue robes and throwing a matching cloak on over them. then, grabbing her wand she headed downstairs.

Quinn had gone to the front door, it had been locked and he couldn't find a way to open it, so he ran around the perimeter searching for another way in, there were windows, but if he were to break one, she would know he was breaking in. He looked around, and heard a door opening. oh crap he knew he should have thought this out a little better. He took his wand from his pocket and pressed himself to the ground, waiting for what ever was going to happen to hurry up.

Aria stepped outside, the slight wind blowing her loose hair around. She looked around and glanced at her door. The polished oak showed a human handprint. Some one was on her grounds

"Homenum Revelio," she called out. The spell swooped out of her hand and flashed. Someone was nearby.

"Lumos Maxima," she said softly and her wand glowed very brightly.
She walked foward slowly until she came upon a man lying on the ground before her.

"Expelliarmus!" she shouted out.

Seeing the light and feeling his wand fly from his hand, Having one of the many, I probably shouldn't have done that moments,Quinn hopped up, eyes darting around for the nearest exit and made a run for it. When all else fails, run for your life. It was one of the first lessons he had learned with dragons and was glad it had some other use, but he couldn't run as fast as he could then, the stiff right leg slowing him down considerably.

Aria deftly caught the person's wand, she still hadn't seen who it was. She pointed her wand at him again and took aim, them sent ropes at him to tie him up.

She too ran after him, in case the ropes missed, but she ran faster than he did.

The feeling of something wrapping around him around his legs making it so he couldn't move and toppled over. He could hear the person coming towards him, and tried to come up with some plan of excape, but didn't have his wand and knew he couldn't just apperate in and out of her grounds. He tried to free himself, tugging hard at the ropes with his hand, making them a little looser, but he knew he had no time for something working so slowly.

Aria approached the mass lying on the ground, her brightly lit wand held in front of her. She reached the slowly struggling person and raised it up to reveal Quinn. Her employee.

Her eyes widdened in shock and her mouth fell slightly opened, but she quickly caught herself.

"What are you doing sneaking around my grounds?" she asked, staring down at him coldly.

"I wouldn't call it sneaking, I just came by to see how the dragon was doing.'He said, hoping but not counting on her believing this, he couldn't tell her the truth about why he was there. He knew what kind of things she could do to him, kill him before he had time to blink and feed his body to the dragon was the one floating in his mind at the moment.

"Really?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Then why didn't you come up and knock on my door like a normal visitor. And why weren't you in the back, where I informed you the dragon would be kept. And why did you run when I came outside." She took a breath and stared at him. He was lying.

"I don't belive you," she said softly. "And we know where traitors go in my house," she said, "And trespassers." She pictured her newly cleaned out torture room.

"you should know by now that I am not an ordinary visitor, or person for that matter. I couldn't find it and you frightened me when you opened the door before I knocked on the door, then you blasted my wand out of my hand, what did you want me to do?" He asked her

Aria stared down at him, bordering on indecision. "I'm afriad for you, I don't believe you," she said softly. She riased her wand. "Accio Veriteserum," she said. A small bottle flew from the house into her hand.

"Now, usually I would have killed you by now," she said, "I do not take well to tresspassers and liiers. "But--I will give you another chance to tell you the truth. Or else I'll force this veritaserum in you. If you lied to me--the dragon you claim to be checking on will recieve an early dinner tonight."

This was not good, he hadn't thought about this possibility, maybe if he kept talking and playing it dumb he'd distract her. "Really, can I watch him eat?" he knew he was going to be dinner, but maybe if he played the part right..."It's a pity you don't trust me, it's a waste of a good potion."

"He's going to be eating you," she stated, "And I have more potion from where this came from."

She made the ropes fly out of her wand and restrain his hands too, "Now, I'm going to ask you one last time. What are you doing sneaking around my grounds."

"Just a dragon withdrawal, why go all the way to a reserve or something like that when I know exactly where one lives and it isn't too far away?" He said, continuing the charade , still hoping she'd give it up, had he given reason for her not to trust him before this?

Aria stared down at him. She didn't know what to do with him, whether to believe him or not. She thought. He had acquired her the dragon. And the poison. And worked for her. But she had never been completley sure of his loyalty. And she was suprised to find him sneaking around. Then again he was a socially awkward person.

She quickly made up her mind. Forching his mouth open she poured the potion down his throat.

"Why were you at my house this evening?" she asked, all emotions aside.

Quinns eyes were filled with terror and he tried to move away from her touch, he didn't like being touched, much less when he knew he was hopelessly screwed. lie, come on fight it and keep lying...just lie but the lie wouldn't come out. "I was here to sneak into your house."

"Why were you going to sneak into my house," she continued, angry now. "And under who's orders?"\

She glared down at him, ready to curse him to pieces.

"I was to see if I could find any thing about what you've been up to with the death eaters." he said wishing he could bite his tongue and make it stop, he didn't want anyone else to get in trouble, it would ruin so much. "I'm part of the resistance group, but it was my own idea." he said this was true, he had been the one to come up with this plan

Aria was ready to kill him but as long as he was under the Veritaserum's influence she figured she could have some fun with him.

"Who else is in this resistance group with you?" she asked.

The Veritaserum's affecting to fade, giving him a little bit more control of what he said but not enough for him to flat out lie to her. "A black guy, a kid who's...I don't know twenty and a few others but I can't remember their names."He said thinking about Florent and Aj hoping he hadn't given too much away, people knew about Florent right? but he didn't remember their last names, and Aj was just a nickname, but he was glad he had stopped himself from mentioning Cassi

Aria sensed he was lying to her again. "You just don't know when to stop lying do you?" she asked. "I guess you need more than three drops..." she said softly and poured the entire vial down his throat.

"Now, tell me who else is in this group AND, Quinn, I'd like to know...who is the person you care for the most, in your own weirdo reclusive way?"

She smiled evilly and waited for him to reply.

Quinn struggled, but it was hopeless. No matter how hard he tried not to tell her, he would anyway. Couldn't she just kill him and get it over with? he hated knowing that he was about to betray the only people he had ever been loyal too."Florent,AJ,Torree....there's more but I can't remember their names." He hated knowing what was going to come out next, the strange relationship he had with Cassi had developed into a little more than just friendship at least on his par, but she was pretty sure she could say the same."Cassidy lowe"

"Cassidy. Ahh, she must be in that group..talking me up in Hogsmeade... perhaps I'l leave your dead tortured body as a suprise to her... or hers to you," she added, smirking.

Then she livitated him nonverbally into her house and downstairs into her torture chamber, dropping him on the stone floor, still tied up.

"Well, what do you think Quinn? Isn't it nice? And I have another question...what would you think of your friend Cassidy joining us?"

Then she hit him with a Crucio.

"DONT YOU DARE TOUCH HER!" he yelled, fighting harder against his bonds. He didn't care all that much what she did to him, he would take it, but he would not let her touch Cassi as long as there was anything he could do to stop her. "I SWEAR TO GOD I-" His yelling was stopped by a scream, he hadn't been expecting it and the pain was worse than anything he had experanced, body being crushed, arm being ripped from his body, this was worse.

Aria laughed at his pain. So Cassie seemed to be a trigger for him, she thought.

She let the curse end. "This should teach you something about trespassing on private property Quinn," she said and waved her wand. Seconds later he hung from suspended manacles in the cieling. she didn't even bother to vanish his shirt.

She enchanted one of the whips to whip him three times.

"Oh and by the way... you're fired." she said.

The position of hanging from the manacles was a little awkward and lopsided due to the fact that he only had one arm. He felt the whip rip across his back, but that pain was nothing compared to what he had just felt moments ago. "Don't worry I don't want the job."

Aria walked over to a small cabinet and took out a small bottle of acid which she then proceeded to throw all over Quinn's back.

then she stared at him. "Your no big loss," she said, "I wonder if your friends will even notice your missing..."

Quinn screamed in pain as the burns started almost instantly appeared and continued burning past the skin, he had been burned many times but nothing like this. 'You think I care about that?" he asked her, teeth clenched and breathing hard as he waited for what was next.

Aria narrowed her eyes. She wanted to really make him scream. She eyed the narrow prongs in the corner...maybe later.

She aimed her wand at him and sent three spells in a row, Sectemsempra, Crucio, and reducto to break his leg.

The first time was like a stubbed toe compaired to this, his leg broke, he was badly burned and a large gash had torn across his back on top of being hit by crucio again. couldn't she just kill him and call it good?

Aria was having too much fun to just kill him off now. She hated liars and thats what he was, a liar, he had assured her he was trustworthy.

She grabbed the long metal prong and walked over to him, then smiled evilly in his face. Holding it up, she poked it into both eyes, blinding him and watching the blood run out.

Quinn screamed again in agony, after a few moments he realized what exactly she'd done and he began to panic, he couldn't see what she was doing, what she was going to do to him next.'Can't you just kill me already?" he asked between ragged breaths, his voice strained with pain.He knew he was going to die, he could feel the blood loss starting to really get to him, mixed with the pain it made him dizzy and sick. He had always known that his death wouldn't be painless but hadn't thought it would end like this. he could just let himself slip away with the blood, it would be so easy to make the pain stop and die but his mind wouldn't let him stop fighting against pull of death that was getting stronger, trying to remain awake and be as aware of what she was doing as he could.

Aria stopped laughing, she had liked Quinn before she had caught him sneaking around. "No, I'm not going to kill you," she said, "Just teach you a lesson about sneaking around."

She gave him another crucio, made a portkey and apparated them to the shrieking shack.

Quinn landed heavily on the floor, agitating his broken leg as it buckled under him and he didn't bother trying to move again. the acid was still burning away, now eating its way through muscle, he couldn't see anything and he was bleeding profusely. All he could do was hope he was alone, that she had left him here...where ever here was as consciousness was quickly leaving him

Aria rumaged in her pocket and pulled out a blood replensher which she poured down his throat. She didn't want him to loose conciusness, that would be no fun.

Then she sent another reducto at his good arm, to splinter it to peices, followed by sectemsempra, and a kick to his acid eaten back.

She frowned at him. "Now do you know how to produce a patronus?" she asked.

He was not happy to find that she was still there. He recognized the taste of the potion, she wasn't going to heal him, so she was going to prolong the time he was awake to torture him further. He gritted his teeth as his arm was broken to a point beyond use and another deep cut ripped across his chest. When she kicked him there was a sickening snapping sound as he felt her foot break the ribs where they connected with his back. he opened his mouth to scream but the air had been knocked out of him. He didn't answer her, he was having a hard enough time trying to get oxygen back in his body.

Aria tossed his wand down in front of him. "You're going to send a patronus, to Cassidy, now, to come and help you. I want to see her face when she finds you. If you send it to anyone else I will aparate us away and go after her next. Understand? If you refuse I will go after her."

She watched him with narrowed eyes, waiting.

he heard his wand hit the floor and tried to find it, each movement no matter how small was agonizing. ''How do I know you wont touch her as soon as she gets here?"he panted, he wasn't going to risk her getting anywhere near her. He felt his want and held it with his fingers, waiting for an answer.

"I won't harm her--today. As soon as she arrives I'll portkey away," she said, thinking of her amulet. She had charmed it as a portkey to her house. Around her blue swirled, binding her word and making her have to stick to her promise.

She glared at him, "Surely you felt the binding of my word. Send a Patronus. Now."
